China is apparently in real trouble now. Due to corruption, the property market has collapsed and that feeds in to the issues with not having enough workers to pay for the OAP's. They really want couples to have 3+ children, but the young couples have small properties that only accommodate 1 child and they are not prepared to invest in bigger properties to support a bigger family, so there is no population growth.
China is basically in a downward spiral and they now need immigrants to keep the country going which is not really attractive in an authoritarian country ![]() |
