Currently there is no "these days." I think this election could be the start of that, but as things currently stand, it's unprecedented.

Also unsurprising; people are bored and tired. The same thing is happening in the US amongst "normal" voters, I hear. You have the screeching kids on one side and the whining Trump stans on the other, and in the middle 80% of the population looking at Biden and Trump, shrugging and saying "This is a joke I don't care any more."
I'll be totally honest and say that yes I voted, because we were out in the car for some dinner and shopping anyway, and my wife was voting, so I was there and voted. If, let's say, my wife had voted on the way to work and we hadn't needed to pop out for anything - would I have gone to vote? I can't 100% say that I would. There was 0 possibility of it being anything other than Labour or SNP. I wasn't all that bothered which. I'd probably not have bothered to tie my shoes. And I'm a politically engaged individual - imagine for someone who doesn't even generally engage with it? |

I only really mean that "unprecedented" doesn't always mean "surprising"., if one keeps one's thumb on the trending pulse of sociology.

What is disengenuous about what I've written?
You made a claim and i asked you to back it up, so you've started crying about me. Answer the question, which organisations have funded her?

Just spewing out the same talking point bollocks from the likes of Anderson and Farage is slightly weird from you, if I'm honest. Don't pretend it's some moral cause, when you're regurgitating the same "othering" tropes that have been used forever. US republicans in 08' started Muslim brotherhood against Obama, so that's how unoriginal this nonsense is.

Yeah Tunbridge Wells has always been a Tory stronghold, but the town has been changing over the years and the Lib Dems have really put the work in here. When Mike Martin was going door to door last month, he knocked on my door, i had a 5 min chat with him, he came across really well. He won me over tbh.
It's interesting, i do a lot of walking, and with any election you'd always notice Tory posters on windows, placards outside house etc. It was always 95% blue here. Not anymore, i think i came across 1 Tory sign on my travels this time round. There were a few Labour placards and posters outside houses, which just shows the change for this town. But they were mainly Lib Dem. It just shows really how far the Tories have fallen if they're losing once guaranteed wins like Tunbridge Wells.

I think the intimidation shown towards Jess Phillips and Shabana Mahmood gives us a sneak preview of this brand of politics and it's not pretty |

Just saying that intimidation tactics have been used, doesn't really cut it. I know it's more believable because it's scary Muslims, but these candidates have done their best to avoid any sense of accountability. Politicians used to at least talk to people, but one Palestine flag would have Philips running. If you're scared of your own shadow, then everything is intimidating. Being accountable to your constituents is the job of an MP.

Did you agree with Angela Rayner appealing for a Muslim male vote? no question of her canvassing their partners for their views?

J.K. Rowling
@jk_rowling Kirsten Oswald (left) has lost her parliamentary seat. Incredibly, it seems palling around with people who want to decapitate women isn’t a vote winner. |

2) I don't disagree with asking for votes in any room that you are in at any time. I'm sure you would have no issue with Duffield asking for votes from a "what is a woman" conference. I'm not even sure what you want me to do with this one because it's just a bit weird.
