I don't remember if it came up here or not about whether people are getting more radicalized. But if their daily diet consists mainly of news and places like X with no real exposure to the thing they are reading about, and rejecting communication with individuals whose views are more nuanced, then it is very easy to become more radical in views... especially given enough time. I would say it is 80-90% chance, it is pretty much guaranteed. Addictively reading the news is probably worse for us than having an addiction to liking puppy photos on Instagram. If it is real world information, it is harder to get addicted.... we don't see people get addicted to wikipedia in the same way and yelling at other people over a page of botany (think banal)

…yeah I think that’s a huge part, isn’t it…not having any balance and too much single focus on specific negative areas or topics or world event, you know…there’s that saying, step out and touch the grass or something similar…?..it’s not a literal thing, it’s just more about absorbing balances of information to keep more sound perspectives…
