Tragic that people so young get caught up in this sort of violence - what real chance do they have?

...however not to be a pedant (would I ever??) but... it's not really an assassination, is it, that's the wrong word and terrible reporting. A gang execution, maybe. Assassination in almost every form of usage refers to the planned killing of a key or high-profile person for very specific reasons (e.g. political or business).

I still think back to that woman activist that was gunned down a few years ago at a party in a garden in london. It was a story for a couple of days and then it has been silence ever since
