Weird thread arista

All I really have to add is that any grown adult getting queasy about periods is, in fact, not an adult.

It was most Weird
looking at her photo
of blood running down her inner leg.

It should be with her GP
not on ITV1HD Live

My mum never told me about her periods and related problems. So i dont understand why this random woman feels she needs to tell me.

…but surely, it was live because Steph was raising awareness of the difficulties that some females go through in their monthly cycles…and suffer dreadfully from extremely painful and heavy periods but often don’t discuss it with anyone except their GP….so may feel quite isolated in what they go through…?…I mean, I didn’t watch it but wasn’t that the intent of relating her own story…

Yes that's her idea.

She has had trouble
and is journalist
so brought it to This Morning ITV1HD

In my View
I say take it to your GP's Surgery

…if raising awareness was the intention then I’m not sure how much would be raised in her GP surgery…

Her own doctor can help her
more than her own photo on ITV1HD

….of course, it’s a two part thing, isn’t it…she’s highlighting something that’s an issue for many females…and then it’s also about trying to seek GP help …which I’m presuming she’s probably done that hit as it’s been such a long term issue in her life…

…anyway, here’s the video of the interview…

Well this is why people try and highlight it because there is very little help with issues women and girls have with periods and in my experience the more you talk about it with other women you'll find that I would say the majority of women have had or will have issues at some point in their lives. It needs to be taken more seriously by the medical profession imo They're very quick to fob us off. I really wish there was more female gynecologists as well

…I think because it’s often not addressed more seriously with many GP’s…(…and especially now that some surgeries only have appointments available for more medical emergency, type things…)…it’s more important for women to talk openly to each other so that it lessens the feeling of ‘solation’…as if everyone else is fine and it’s only you, you know…?…I mean, it’s not that long ago that postpartum depression wasn’t something that was addressed as a serious thing either and was ‘downgraded’ to ‘baby blues’….

…there are times of the month when some females can feel so very restricted in their lives and sharing stories with others can help in so many ways…

Good for Steph for bringing the problem women can have to the forefront.
It’s something we can’t fully control as an individual and have to put up with all sorts of crap about, mainly of course from people who have never and will never experience.
