Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has launched a scathing attack on Labour's plans to ban
trail hunting, branding it an "attack on rural communities". The MP suggested the hunting issue was just "the tip of the iceberg" in what he sees as Labour's broader assault on rural life. ![]() https://www.gbnews.com/news/nigel-fa...-trail-hunting |

Whilst I don't agree with fox hunting it's interesting that in some countries they actively cull them as they're deemed a pest and a threat to wildlife and contributed to the extinction of some mammals. Australia for example where they kill as many as they can.
Not that I think we have this issue and don't think it should be allowed. |

Of course, some hound dogs are sadly, injured. But other packs, are not. The problem for the Labour Party is do they want a local war with country folk? Last edited by arista; 26-12-2024 at 05:28 PM. |

Fox hunting in the manner that some object to, is an old tradition - as are Halal and Kosher. The fox population needs to be kept under control, but there's no need to do it in such a cruel way. People "need" to eat meat, but there's no excuse to slaughter them in such a cruel way.

But I just don't like Foxes being illegally hunted no other reason than "the thrill."

So no need to kill them Mock. What thrill any disgraceful mind could get too though from chasing and exhausting a fox or in fact any animal, to have it ripped to pieces by trained hounds, is beyond any decency in my view. I would like this Labour government to go even much further actually. Actually doing right at last. Last edited by joeysteele; 27-12-2024 at 08:44 AM. |

A farmer shooting a fox to protect their sheep is a whole world away from hunting an animal for sport..... its really no different to going on Big Game kills, just because foxes are not endangered it is the same premise, blood thirsty 'sport'

There's a humane way, but chasing an animal to exhaustion and then it being ripped apart isn't. I don't think we have such an issue in this country that foxes need killing anyway |

The Royals supposedly get great satisfaction from chasing down stags until they are shot or die of sheer exhaustion . I know Charlie boy did … sometimes took his two sons but they get a pass as they were too young to say no or even know any better |
