I'm so confused
![]() I don't know? is it about charging your adult kids to stay at home? I don't think there's a right or wrong answer and totally depends on the situation. My 21 year old son still lives at home, he's still at University and only works part time so I don't ask him to hand up anything. If he was working full time and out drinking/eating out etc every night I might get a bit pissed off that I'm paying all the bills while he was living it up and wasting all that money where as if he was saving for a place of his own I'd probably happily pay for everything. Then you have parents who genuinely need the help with bills and if your adult child is earning and still living at home they should help out in that case, one adult shouldn't be struggling for money while the other is paying nothing. Reading between the lines here, sounds like the mother is pissed off that the kid is a bit of a waster and fed up of carrying them when they work, they've sent that message before 7am and the mother says "don't come home" so were they out partying all night or working a night shift Context is important

I personally wouldn't let money get in the way of my relationship with a family member.
Even if they're displaying an attitude that I don't like, I still think that family should try to get along as best as they can.

…I’m not sure this is real as such, I don’t think it is…it seems to be from something called ‘BanterKing’ …I think it’s something that’s been narrated to create a conversation/opinion exactly like this now…
