And even though he’ll be the prince and she’ll be the princess, there was no rescuing involved in this love story. He didn’t have to save her, because she had already saved herself.

There is something so compelling about a romance between two people who are already on equal footing.

And most importantly, it sends a message to women all around the world—

They don’t have to be less to find love.

They don’t have to stay meek or small or downplay their achievements.

They don’t have to be reliant on anyone.

They don’t have to chase anyone.

They don’t have to settle.

They don’t have to wait to be saved.

They can be a boss babe and run full tilt after their dreams and have their own interests and passions and LIFE and be authentically and unapologetically themselves . . . and find a partner who values and respects that.

Honestly? I think I know the reason all the haters—the Dads, Brads, and Chads—can’t stand Taylor and Travis and their love.

I think they’re scared.

Because they know that if all women followed Taylor’s example, they would never put up with men who don’t deserve them.
