…in all seriousness, though…I think the land of any great political leader/political party as we knew it could be in days gone by…?..is just a thing of the past because the income potential now for many who achieve and have achieved a higher office is just huge …which has created career movers, rather than visionaries…a sad ‘progression’ for society and the common people, eh…

Yes, people have sent Ł55 in. They need to know if they can get a refund? So far reports, they can not. |

IMO, it's not really feasible for at least a decade. firstly, "your party" is in danger of dying before it's really got off the ground. I think Zarah - who I generally really like, made a mistake and jumped the gun by announcing it's launch before things had really been worked out behind the scenes. Unless they get setup really quickly, the enthusiasm and desperation for change will naturally look for a new home. Then we have the greens, who are, in the current set up, a bit of a political throwback. The old green party has actually been a 2nd home for a lot of national trust/John Major tories, so I think it will take a while for that party to really switch over to a party with a fully progressive membership. Although, maybe I've done a bit of a disservice to the party there, because Zack Polanski won with 86% of the leadership vote. I don't think either party is comfortable enough in it's own skin, for a merger to happen. If we don't get PR, then the need to merge will be far greater.
