@jk_rowling
and issue an apology to the "transgender community" for allowing a Harry
Potter-themed event to be scheduled at Stanley Park.

During the meeting, the trans activists who were invited to speak labeled
Rowling a "holocaust denier" who used her royalties from the Harry Potter
franchise to fund "global anti-trans campaigns."

The activists also threatened protests if the event, titled Harry Potter: A
Forbidden Forest Experience, was allowed to proceed as planned.

unanimously passed the motion, which "publicly disavows JK Rowling's
political activity and recognizes the harm that it causes globally."

To be honest, I didn't even know Vancouver Parks and Recreations had avowed
me, so the disavowal hasn't been much of a blow. Next time, send me a
certificate of avowal, wait until I've proudly framed it, hung it over my PC and
taken a selfie with it, THEN revoke it.

If you all think trans women are just men who are incredibly mentally ill, why are you spreading hate rather than campaigning for men to get more support with their mental health? It's world mental health day today but I'm still just seeing hatred, men getting more support would probably lower how many of them turn into terrifying predators too, very strange to be so focused on bathrooms and mediocre novelist rather than seeking a positive outcome for all. Is it because certain people just enjoy having someone to hate so they can make themselves feel better?

Was the more than 20-fold rise in trans identities since 2010 the result of
people finally feeling free to express their authentic selves? Or was it a social
contagion?

Five years ago, I and others were canceled for suggesting the latter. New
evidence shows we were right.

Olympics to ban transgender athletes from all women’s events

New policy may also bar female athletes with ‘differences of sex development’,
possibly including boxers like Imane Khelif


Laurel Hubbard, a transwoman (male) from New Zealand, competed in the women’s
weightlifting competition at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020

The Olympics is increasingly likely to ban transgender athletes from all
female competition following a science-based review of evidence.

Although no final decision has been made, the update to IOC members
reportedly stated that scientific evidence showed there were physical
advantages to being born male that remained even after reducing
testosterone levels.

Kirsty Coventry, the new president of the International Olympic Committee
(IOC), told Telegraph Sport in January that she favoured a blanket ban and,
after winning the presidency in March, commissioned a review that assessed
the permanent physical advantages of being born male.
