sadism for the family

I used to count myself a Bounty devotee. But I have to admit, over the last 2-3 Christmases, Snickers has come to supplant it as my favourite chocolate bar, I think.

Soooo one thing that crossed my mind is …
When I listen to a group or a singer LIVE on stage at a concert or on telly I try and sync all the different parts like the interesting guitar riffs or the complex drum fills or whatever .. Now I can’t read music or understand all the technical terms and can’t play any instruments . Anyways I just LOVE listening to music and especially LIVE stuff . So I just wonder if it’s the same experience for a trained musician or even the very talented guys in the top rock bands .. I wonder if they can still enjoy the same way we do or are they more critical.. constantly noticing errors/ mistakes .. Maybe they enjoy even more than us mere mortals Sorry I can’t word my thoughts any clearer but hopefully some of you get the gist … |

Why mess with perfection ? Longer but thinner and complete repackage - I walked past them on the shelves twice !

Soooo got to wondering who’s the biggest female singer currently .. so best known or moat popular ??
My first thought was Taylor Swift but then I settled on Ariana Grande with all her hits and albums plus who is regularly on tv shows like SNL and Carpool Karaoke PLUS now a massive star in the Wicked ! movies I’d place Dua Lipa in third place Any thoughts ? |

![]() I hate JamesBond movies but I realise that many in here absolutely love them I will be interested to see their thoughts on this brave idea . Now .. Before the usual suspects all pile on I am probably one of the few who can count a non binary guy as a friend and ex colleague soooo We worked together not long ago and hit it off as we are both on the spectrum … |

It’s nothing to do with anyone being right for the role because I have never heard of her until this moment and never knowingly watched any of her movies .. It’s just that James Bond is a notorious womaniser who always gets the most gorgeous women … so falling for a non binary sounds slightly left-field on the face of it .

…so this is not something that made me ponder as such but more something that I hadn’t known but I’ll pop it in this thread…and mainly @Niamh. ….you may have seen this photo before and been aware of Cillian Murphy’s short music career before acting but this apparently was taken at Cork bus station so I thought of you, obviously…
![]() …a Son of Mr Green Genes isn’t the most catchy name for a boy band ever but apparently they were very good until Mr and Mrs Cillian Murphy senior said, no…go get a proper job…actually it wasn’t so much for Cillian, it was his younger brother who was also part of the band and only 18yrs old at the time and when he no longer stayed, they just drifted apart, I think… …the photo isn’t showing so hopefully the link to it will be ok… https://www.reddit.com/r/CillianMurp...5205mo%2520ago

…I saw the photo on Graham Norton when his early music career was being discussed, so googled it…it was difficult to find a copy of the pic that wasn’t behind a paid for wall…Taylor Swift was also on that show and early career recording deals were being discussed, the band was actually offered a 5 year contract and looked very promising but Cillian’s parents didn’t want that as an ‘unpredictable career and future’ for his younger brother… so when he didn’t continue with the band, they just filtered apart…but they did have a promising and recognised talent by a record company who offered the contract…
