No not at all. It has nothing to do with it. I know nobody gay. (Well I have my suspicions about some close friends), and I'm bi so I don't see how it would have anything to do with it.

I personally don't think so.

It's mainly down to whether you believe homosexuality is down to nature or nurture... that is, whether it happens biologically, or whether it's down to your environment.

I believe it's biologically predestined (with the environment/surroundings being a trigger), and so you don't have to be 'exposed' to it.

Nope.
I'd never met another gay person until I was 14
and that was on the internet.

I've known I was gay since 12.
I'm sure you can figure it out ;D

Anyway summing up my point about sexuality being nurture not nature. In brief, I believe we are all born as 'blank slates' and if we have no conditions, I think we can all turn out to be absolutely anything. We learn types of behaviour within the first few years such as aggression and interests from our families. Example- Its not coincidental how someone who is sporty is born into a sporty family. I feel that sexuality is the same as that and we learn it, even if we don't realise it.

To illustrate my point I think that if me and Darenn were switched at birth, he would have turned out pretty much exactly how I have (except the obvious- looks) and vice versa. I don't think we're pre determined.

I'm happy to expand on anything if anyone wants me to.

LOL yes. I didn't like Piaget very much though. I had problems remembering any studies he was involved with

oh.
i've got this 'friend'.
Who claims to be straight, yet he fancies Cristiano Ronaldo.
&I've got a gazillion other points that I can make to disprove his sexuality, mostly personal anecdotes, but that's not particularly relevant considering the topic is Homophobia.
Unless he's a homophobic homosexual.
But lets not get into that.

One of my lecturers tried to explain one theory of homosexuality with maternal mitochondria.

Didn't really go down too well with the students.

Because it goes against the bible.

Not just the Bible. In some other countries youu can be executed for being gay because of religion and the strong beliefs.
