Default Live Feed - Details

There is no live streaming during the day according to this website

With the schedules now confirmed for the first couple of days of Big Brother 10, these are the facts about the live feed coverage on offer.

As we’ve posted previously, not only has the red button 24/7 feed has been axed, but the daytime streaming on E4 has been scrapped too. The online streaming was discontinued last year.

On launch night live streaming on E4 begins at 11.35pm, after an hour-long edition of Big Mouth, continuing through to 6.20am.
On Friday there is no further streaming until 11.05pm on E4, running overnight once again.
C4 will also be offering 90-minutes of live streaming on both nights, from 2.30am.
And that is it.

In its place, along with daytime regulars Smallville, One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls, are reruns of Desperate Housewives, the first series of The Hills - and a rare chance to see classic episodes of Friends. E4 Music has been dropped.

Big Brother isn’t completely absent from the schedules though, the main editions will be repeated at 1pm on E4, while Big Brother’s Little Brother remains in the 6pm slot.

Stick with bbspy!

Well at least on Friday its on at 11pm, which means 30 mins extra than 11:30pm, they better be Hms that want to stay up all night. But we have to wait 1h30 mins after the end of launch to watch Live Feed as it starts at 11:35pm.

Channel 4 get more ratings during the day from actual television shows and not people sitting at the edge of a pool. The midnight live feed is the best time to watch it anyway, especially on weekends, so it is not as if we are missing much.

At least were getting a little bit of Live...

They better be more like Darnell and Kathreya who sit up to like 3 in the morning.

I hope BB Like makes them sit up most the night, seeing as we arent missing much if their tired during the day are we!

Default Suggestion.

Damn, give us the live streaming back and get rid of Little Brother, or get rid of George Lamb instead. He just comes across as not caring about the series at all, always has to be corrected through his ear piece and has no chemistry with guests and not matter how hard people like Keith Lemon and Davina try, it is horrible.

He should be axed if for nothing else his comments to the sun that after next year, "They should call it day" and end the series.

While I was a huge Dermot fan, I would have been fine if they replaced him with any of those guest of BBBM last year, instead of this idiot who looks like big bird. I was fine with who they picked for BBBM, and I think Jeff Leech could have been a great replacemnt for Dermot as well.

Because of this I was hoping that they would bring back the live streaming,a s ratings for BBLB can't be that good now. My wife, who waited each day to se BBLB can't even sit through more than one show of BBLB in a night if we fall a few nights behind.

So I beg, please bring back the streaming!!!

The thing is though they don't. Most shows during the day barely break the 50,000 mark, but live streaming could get three times that.

E4's audience share also jumps significantly in the summer.

Is their figures to support daily live streams of the past few unpopular series breaking the 150,000 mark during the afternoon on a consistent basis?

Things might change after BB11, the contract is still open for more Big Brothers after 2010, nothing has been said yet.
But i hope there is a new contract and in that there will be no CBB, that would mean more money for the summer BB and could hint at a return of the 24/7 live feed and will be staffed.

"A rare chance to see classic episodes of friends"

Thats a joke, these "rarely seen classic episodes of friends" are seen every single day on E4, you'd have thought they could give those tired old tapes a rest while BB10 is on.

Of course, what Channel 4 don't tell you is that the live feed viewing figures only started to fall after they began tweeting/cutting to a shot of the garden every single time something remotely interesting happened. It was obviously nothing to do with legal considerations. They wanted to make sure that they had all the best bits for the h/l show. Once they started doing that, and blatantly fixing the show (such as, to keep Charley in during BB8), it was pretty much game over.

The Charley fix was probably the Production Team's doing. I blame PEJ for that.

After CBB5 Channel 4 imposed a "stronger Channel 4 commissioning and legal presence at the production studios in Elstree, including a new senior Editor based on site". So Endemol have lost control of their own show when it comes to what is actually screened.

I have found them for BB9, and between E4 and E4+1 it's usually around 130-150,000.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...e#post30424772

Trying to find the info regarding other programmes too - it's from memory I remember them being around 50k, but I'm the first to admit my memory is shocking. I'm the first to admit my memory is shocking.

The daytime streaming rates far better than overnight though - but of course the average overnight is bought down once they go to sleep - so even if 100,000 are watching at midnight, if from 2am just 10,000 or less are watching, that really brings the average down.

UPDATE: The likes of Gilmore Girls gets around 60,000 viewers - so half of what the live feed gets during the day.
