I understand that not everybody agrees with homosexuality, or are a little uncomfortable with it, but please can people stop posting homophobic remarks that some people may find offensive?

Sure everyone is entitled to an opinion on something, but sometimes those opinions don't need to be said if they're just going to cause hurt or disrespect.

I understand people have opinions. That is fine. I have no issue with that. But sometimes people overstep the mark and become offensive.

I have no issue with people who don't agree with homosexuality. Everybody has their own thoughts and feelings. But comments which say they are disgusting etc, like that may cause offence (and are not needed).

This is a very good point. I have gay mates who spout their mouths off if they see a straight couple kissing, saying it is disgusting and such.

I tell them to shut the fcuk up because it is more natural than them...I dont believe this in all honesty, any sexuality is natural, but it shuts them up sharpish

I'm not targetting anyone in particular (and wasn't implying you).

Like i have said, stating you don't like homosexuality is fine. But when people take it too far and start saying things which can be seen as offensive is not cool.

My opinion is the same on racism. Some people may not like others because of where they are from or the colour of their skin. Again that is fine, but if they start saying spiteful things, then that is not acceptable.

But I think some of the remarks being made this evening are really unnecessary and offensive.

But be aware that using the word retarded is just as bad, I work with people with learning disabilities and it's a highly offensive term.

There is a button top right of each post which allows members to report offensive content. I would encourage members to use it when the content is clearly intended to be offensive and even in many cases is promoting violence.
