You bet.
She is a Harpy. A horrible monster Harpy who was most definitely doing all of the for the purely evil purpose of injecting poison.

This is why Charlie gets the massive credit in the entire thing. He did everything right in keeping Marcus and himself calm while at the same time 'talking her down' and not even allowing her plan (Freddy) to come to fruition.
Excellence!
He really just single-handedly defused her bomb and steered everyone else clear and kept the dangerous chemical Freddy from getting near her fuse.

Yes, in Bea still gets a 'win' in the big picture but Charlie kept last nights potential fire-bombing down to a minimum.
He owned Bea and the entire scene from the start to the finish.
I get what you're saying I just think you're giving Charlie way too much credit since
Marcus was doing a great job remaining calm all on his own like he usually does. In my opinion Charlie didn't need to be there at all since Marcus had control.

To his credit Marcus, who seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time was about as meek as he could be and despite droning off into rants about himself and how great he is - mostly kept his mouth shut and just said 'yes ma'am',
but,
Charlie was absolutely amazing. Just excellence. He did a great job trying to keep it on a level of humour as long as possible,
when Bea went into hysteria he had her hugged and calmed as much as possible,
and,
absolutely BRILLIANT in blocking Freddy from making it to Bea (and make no mistake that was her 'greater intent') and what a superb, straight-forward, truth-bombing 1-2-3 undressing and proper spanking of the Freddy.
Really just a thing of beauty how he handled that,
and,
Then handles Marcus as politely as possible just in time to take in the returning (and still psyched) Bea,
then,
Sorts it all in the garden, comes up with a plan for the next day and sends everyone to bed all the better.

He was skillful, he was excellent, he was articulate, he put threats in their place and he did so in a way that was the best and 'everyone wins' way possible.

Up till last night, Charlie was all but locked into the Final we could safely say,
but,
I am going to go as far to say that this incident last night and his magnificent 'ownage' of the entire situation,
his best intentions,
done for the right reasons,
executed brilliantly,
This just about locks him in as the leader of this season and by a healthy margin.

Obviously anything can happen between now and then but after last night I suggest that - if the vote happened today - Charlie wins BB10?
Oh yes and wasn't it fantastic the way he looked straight in to the camera whilst talking to Marcus and mention how his poor sick mum would be so proud of him YES i watched L/F TOO

Charlie looked(and is percieved by Bea)like a disposable TOOL throughout. He is also a feckn snake.

I reckon Marcus came out tops re viewer perception and etc.

I'm a big fan of Marcus and Freddie therefore this week is a bad un for me. I have to say that though I initially thought Fred had it in the bag I think Marcus is catching up and it may be a photo finish right at the line.

Maybe it's for the best if Marcus wins; Fred is gonna get it v tight from Bea and Lisa gang if Marcus is emptied. Can Fred cope?

I think we might all agree that a lot of this will depend on the edit job tonight and I do believe the editors generally do a fair and representative job given the time constraints,
however,
this one is a real big job on their hands and they might also have it on their mind that more focus could go to Marcus part in the story as well as more focusing on Freddy's interjection,
naturally because those are the two nominees and who's stories will fire up the most voting possible,
but,
Yes, it will be difficult for them to edit in Charlies overall 'ownage' and skillful ongoing handling of what was a rather long series of incidents.

I believe that if we do get a reasonable accurate picture of Charlies expert management including his undressing of Freddy then you will see Charlie support increase.
I will say again this might be more about 'solidifying' his base more than ever and especially about who he is up against in the Final.

Again - I was entirely indifferent on Charlie before this besides his amusing fights with Rodrigo I was thinking he was a bit of a sneak,
but,
This really showed me someone who did the right thing for the right reasons and with proper assertiveness balanced with a skillful social grace that ended up benefiting everyone including Marcus and maybe especially Freddy and 'muted' Beas Harpy Attack as best as he could.

El Proximo..spot on with ALL your observations..........
what struck me was how many times BEA used the name Freddie and talked about him on the bench with cHarlie and on the seats to marcus...getting louder and louder so Freddie could hear from his bed...no wonder his heart was thumping after cHarlie didturbed his sleep putting back the lager...you cold see Freddie wake up as charlie banged the bed drawer shut................

Charlie had already woken Freddie up by banging the bed drawer shut putting the stolen Cider back.........I suspect Bea told him to put it back because she knew he wouldnt be as careful as her..... I call the whole thing from 1pm to after 4pm CIDERGATE because it all revolved around that tiny incident much like CIGARETTEGATE....

it was such a twist that charlie kept telling Freddie to butt out when he was the one who had disturbed freddie from his deep slumbers.....

What is Bea on? I found the whole build up to her emotional breakdown very hard to watch...but a friend of mine Joe who works in the hauirdressers beneath my flat said she was glad Bea was reduced by marcus to tears..........Bea is never going to win a heated debate with marcus..why does she put her head in the fire range? DAFT.

You got it.
Marcus was nothing but a tool and yes she most definitely was making a point to emphasize Freddy's name louder and louder:
..Marcus when you and Freddy and Siavash..
... Marcus when you and FREDDY...
....Marcus, you AND FREDDY....

Even more telling was that you could actually see her often looking towards the bedroom as if to see if he was coming yet lol.

Charlie did a great job of cutting that off hard and fast and later Freddy ought to thank Charlie for that.
Charlie foiled Beas plans with that one!

OP I think we are watching different shows.

Marcus didn't sound as if he's much of a friend to Freddie. More a best buddy to Charlie.

There's no way Marcus wants to be voted out on Friday but I hope he is an Freddie stays.

Charlie was in the right. Even Marcus saw it and told Freddie to go to bed.

Charlie wants to win the show, he doesn't care who he kicks, bites or slaps on his way to the final.

He sides with Bea because he sees freddie and his ONLY competition. He knows Bea is out the door as soon as she is up.

He will wind freddie up in any way and intisigate rows with him, hoping that people will feel pity for him and think that Charlie is the only deserving winner.

Charlie and Bea should moved in together after the show. They are both awful, deceitful, cunning, arguementative, self absorbed, patronising fools and deserve each others company.

ok rant over!

True, when Charlie kept asking Freddie why he'd got up, he should've said "well I've been awake since you slammed my draw shut"
Even if he hadn't woken him up, Freddie has every right to get up when he likes...Charlies like a fly round s**t when anyone kicks off
