Default Do Big Brother need to change the nomination/voting process?

Say what you like about Siavash, I think he had it spot on when he said everyone should go up for eviction every week and let the public decide who is in the final.

If that had been the case this year, we wouldnt have lost all the great housemates early on.

Block voting really ruined the show this year and left us with bland/boring finalists who were only there because they had managed to escape being put up for eviction.

Everyone should be up each week, and instead of 'vote to evict' it should be 'vote to save'

the prob is the voting they do inside the house causes conflict. Conflict is good TV. I agree with you that it's fairer for viewers to choose....Lisa would have been out by week 3 or 4 but the scheming and betrayal etc is part of the game.

I said this idea earlier,
there should be a lotterty type machine, with the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 and ALL.
And whatever the number is, is how many HMs at least haveto go up for eviction, ALL means them all.
If you dont nominate the first type, up for eviction, second time, you get asked whos your favourite people in the house and just them go up, third time, your kicked out.

"Block voting really ruined the show this year "
Could you please define the term "block voting" for me.

I dunno, I think it's a good idea, but I'd equally hate to see that be the case every week. By automatically having everyone up, that removes nominations from the show, which to me is kind of vital. I think it'd be good if we had some weeks where everyone was up; perhaps if they failed a task, and in the other weeks, housemates nominated to save friends, and the people with the least nominations were up, and other weeks have them nominate to put people up. Similarly, some weeks the public would vote to save, and in others, a vote to evict.

I don't really know what kind of pattern that should follow, or if it should just be a case of randomly choosing a week where this kind of thing would happen, but it would certainly spice things up a lot more if they had different types of nominating and eliminating!

If Everyone was up each week it would get rid of the whole fun of being able to get rid of people you don't like and would take away a load of arguements and entertainement for us as viewers. Although I do think it should be vote to Save instead of Evict

If the were to be chances to the nomination/voting sytem, the only far way to play it for the housemates and the viewers would be make the housemates nominate who they would like to say leave and the reasons why exactly as they currently do.

All housemates would be put up for eviction on vote to evict. The public would then see what all the housemates think of each other week by week. The given bonus is that all housemates would always be under the pressure of eviction, as opposed to some who relaxed and flew under the radar as soon as their names werent given out in the eviction announcements.

The main points about the vote to evict is it stops tactical voting by housemates fans, gets rid of the deadwood in the eyes of the public and doesnt fleece the viewers like vote to save does.

guys heres an idea to rid ourselves of block voting but at the same time keep the entertainment value and conflic hear my idea out.

basically depending on how many housemates you have say 15 then you have 14 weeks of nominations and basically each housemate gets one vote to use and can only vote for a certain housemate once during the series. So i havent confused anyone i will give an example.

marcus from this series would have 14 votes, 1 per week during the series. So say he nominates lisa on week one then he would not be aloud to vote for her again for the series.

before you thrash the idea think about its advantages,

-block voting eliminated.

-friends will have to vote for each other at least once. Meaning perhaps because of friends nominations favourites/popular/game planners might face eviction.

-suspense/fear of nomination increased as you cant count on friends not to nominate you because they will have to at least once.

- more random pattern to nominations no constantly the same ppl up so the public get bored of voting.

- possibility of better final

- if a group fails to eliminate an outsider one week (in the case of lisa's group against freddie) then they cant keep putting him up in fact if the whole group voted for freddie they never could again.

what are your thoughts, amazing or ridicolous you decide.

i think they should take the us format

Head of Household
Power of Veto
More Competitions
Public does not decide who goes, the house does

So the gameplan to get round that is to play to the public, upset everyone initially as soon as you can then coast to the final.

Hate the idea, sorry!

Although, having to change 1 of your nominations every week should be a rule. This helps stop block voting.

Say, for example when Freddie vs Angel and Angel went, Lisa's group could not then vote Freddie again because they voted for both last time and must change 1, with Angel gone, they are forced to have to change Freddie. Block voting is elimnated.
