Its been going on a long time..

And alot..ALOT of people still love it and I dont know the ratings but they wouldnt be too bad especially with the good storylines and Sam returning..

So what year do you predict Eastenders will be axed?

Cant see it happening anytime soon...

And what reasons would BBC have for axing it?

Nah, the ratings went really low a few years back, to 3m

Eastenders wont be axed, its the 2nd highest rated soap, usually getting just below the ratings of Coronation Street, theres no chance EE will be axed anytime soon

I havent watched it since Alfie and Kat left, its boring now I dont know how it beats Corrie in the soap awards every year! Beyond me it really is. Everything about Corrie is superior, the characters, the storylines, the scripts...How does it not win? Crazy! Cos all the people that vote live in London, thats why!

I don't watch eastenders. In my opinion it is the WORST soap and such an overated programme.

It won't be axed but Sam returning has been a massive turn off for me. Her ugly mug would turn milk sour

I agree that it's been really poor recently. Bad acting and bad writing.
I think it will start to pick up again when Tony goes on trial.

Eastenders is really cheap to make and it regurlarly scores really high viewers. It'd have to drop to to really low figures for it to be axed.

I watch Eastenders and Corrie and I have to say tonight was the first time in a long time I thought Eastenders had a great story line - wife swap with ian & Max!! funny!
