Why bring racism into what is a political argument? Stephen brought the subject up - and I can honestly not think of a single event where they have done anything for Britain (or any other country for that matter) that didn't have a hefty amount of self interest involved. After WW2 they lent Britain a lot of money, as I understand it.

But they certainly took their time in getting involved in both WW1 and WW2, so I'm guessing they money the lent us was 'guilt money' to some extent!
