I think it's a really pathetic idea. You only have to empty the thing in the bin eventually anyway. It was in the BB house and nobody used it!!!

I BOUGHT ONE TODAY (well actually two - one for home and one for work - might encourage people to be a little less messy)
I've christened it too.. Little tip I've lined mine with a plastic sandwich bag - when its full you just lift the bag out and replace and it doesnt mess the actual bin. Hint of genius there I think ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi All
Dean and I have just been reading your posts, thank you for your comments. Richard and Judy on Thursday has really helped and Judy has now got one for her kitchen. We do have a stand at the ideal home Exhibition stand 553F and we were there last week. We are also planning a number of days at the stand so if you go speak to Neil who is running our diaries. Check out http://www.teabagbin.com we have re-launched the site and it would be great to get your feedback. See ya Stuart x PS - great idea re the plastic bag |

My Tea Bag Bin arrived this morning, and it is now sitting proudly in my kitchen, complete with small plastic bag inside (thanks Val).
Just off to make my first cup of tea of the day to christen it. ![]() |

That was quick Lee (unlike some things in life....)
Tell me, when you have christened it, please let me know.......... Does it have a draining/squeezing facility, or is it just a container with a spring-loaded lid? The only thing that has stopped me so far is the fear that I am buying something I could use an empty yogurt carton for (complete with sticky-backed plastic, of course!). OH's concern is that it's 'Something else to clutter up the ***** kitchen with'. Consumer report, please! PS Dare I say, ...avatar??? And no, not of the tea bag tin! ![]() |

Whoops sorry ROB, I completely forgot about your avatar, but have just now done it for you
![]() Any excuse to put off starting work for a bit longer. ![]() I still haven't made that cup of tea, cos the phone went and I got distracted. I will be back later with a full consumer report though ![]() |

I'll get in with my consumer report first. Bought one for our dept's kitchen in work and took in to-day. Got a few "What the hell is that for" Then "Oh, that's a good idea I'm fed up of having to wipe up all the drips".
In fact I've had a few enquiries about where to get one. Think I'll ask Stuart for a bit of commission. ![]() ![]() Had a quick look just now and it has been well used - nice and full - all ready to empty. No-one has yet picked up on where it came from or any BB connection. I'm dreading it when they do ![]() ![]() ![]() You probably could use a yogurt pot, but it looks quite stylish on the worktop even if it is made of plastic. Wonder if they had any input from a certain young designer? Not sure how long the spring loaded top will work for though, quite ingenious. |
