Default BB11 start & scheduling with world cup and BGT

BGT is meant to be running a week later this year with live shows from the 31st May when normally the final would be around that date

The World Cup starts on 11th June with an England match on Friday 18th almost directly up against Big Brother (evening match, so most likely 8.45pm kick off because of the time difference)

The Apprentice isn't back until the summer either, thats normally starting around now but can't because of the election.

So when can you see them launching BB11? There are some really limited windows in which BB11 can start and gather steam rather than be knocked down straight away, and as we've seen in the past the first week generally makes or breaks the series.

Same, world cup wins every time, even with BGT I'd watch that over the BB launch even if it is the last one

Loads of people watch the World Cup, even girls and gay people. To be honest a large majority of gay people watch general footbal matches anyway, gay or not, they still watch football.

We need to be careful when to launch BB, it should be done on a Sunday (liek CBB7) as it gave it a boost, and end on a Sunday (not Friday like CBB7 final and most others), Sundays do best. CBB7 final got 4.7m, but IMO would have topped 5m+ if it ended on a Sunday.

So, a Sunday, and defenitley not up agianst the world cup. They just need to put BB on at 10pm when the world cup 7 30pm matches start. Even non England games reach a high rating.

What did they do during BB7?

Assuming BGT ends on the first Saturday in June, the 5th, BB should launch the first Sunday in June (6th) to give it a head start on the World Cup.

A footbal watch reached 8m a few weeks ago.
So imagine the world cup. Didnt Brazil VS England get almost 20m or something.

And the World Cup 2006 final, Italy VS FRance (oh yeah ) got high ratings im sure it was 15m+ or something.
And worldwide it reached a massive audience of 715.1m.

Sunday 6th June seems most likely then, that's my first prediction of the year.

Either way, after looking at all this competition, I think we're going to see record lows in the ratings.

I hope not. As long as they dont schedule BB against an England game. Unfortunatley if a game finishes in penalties it will be on until after 10pm if the match starts at 7 30pm.

But we will see ratings lows, but you never know what will happen, look what happeend to CBB7 who would have thought that an average of 1.3m would come crawling back to the BB10 viewers average and stick with it.

It was the biggest increase in ratings between 2 shows in UK BB history. So i hope, seeing as this is the last one people can stick with it, and we can at least match CBB7 average. But that will be unlikely with the world cup on.

I've said this from CBB's Final..

It will more than likely be 4th June which is 73 Days away.

I think they need to just remember on what a high Celebrity Big Brother left BB In so if they can keep up to that and manage to keep the CBB Viewers and gain some new viewers then this series could do fantastic but yeah it all comes down to the schedualing.. hopefully C4 see since this summer and dont ****ing do pointles specials like 'Indian Summer' or 'Muslim Summer' or god forbid 'American Summer' which ****s up Big Brothers place from 8 or 9 or 9 to 10 or 10 to 10 past 11.

True, if you look at it. The Indian summer thing lowered the average by about 200,000-300,000 on CBB7 average, so if they had not done that and changed the slots, CBB7 would have averaged 3.9m or broke 4m. That week got the worst ratings, and if it wasnt for the slot changes it would have surpassed the 4m average mark.

So thinking about it CBB7 was a huge success, if you think about the slot changes, it still did so well.

I'm in the mode these days of trusting and being optimistic about Endemol considering the excellent Celebrity series. They will have something up their sleeve. Even if it means totally changing the time formats and highlight show formats from what we are used to temporarily on clash nights.

Football is dead. LOL. What a gimp. BB is a lot more dead than football. Even in it's present resurgent state.
