Nope BB10's overnight was the same, 5.1m.

Same overnight as the sorely underadvertised BB10? That's bad. Really bad.

Can't see the series getting much above BB10 now. It really seems like without the celebritys, it's just the 2.8 million hardcore fans again .

True, the officials for 6.7m were for CBB7, but i guess more people are interested in celebrities.

Come to think of it, its actually fairly decent... not many people wer watching TV last night, and it got the highest non soap rating of the whole day.

wait hang on a peak of 5.7m is still good and despite that rating is probably unofficial it will go up around 500k i reckon so i think the peak will lunge into past 6million and the average will go past BB9's 5.4million average so its not all doom and gloom

Snukey, it does include +1.
But your right, the officials will defenitley push it above BB9s average, but i think that 5.4m average is the overnight, not the officials.

No its not... its the same as BB10's ratings because it was up against much bigger competition, also it got the same share as CBB7's launch which got 6.2m.

No matter how we dress it up, that is a poor launch figure. I was really expecting about 1million more than that,
It's a stable, solid figure but nothing to shout about. I think it shows public attention for BB has gone

exactly, thats almost 6 million peak and the official and +1 havnt been added yet, last years final got like 3.2 million so getting almost 6 million is a great rating for both BB and C4

And i dont think it will fail like last year. I warmed to all the housemates very quickly this year when last year i couldnt give a **** about them. Last years launch just made m feel completley deflated with their non housemate **** but this year i couldnt get enough i didnt want it to end and watched live feed till 4am and it wasnt just people sleeping it was fun.

This years crop seem like a genuine bunch not wannabees with the exception of rachael and i think alot of people will warm to them and tune in to watch for one last summer

Everyone needs to calm down! We all want the series to do well but lower ratings won't matter this time anyway!

The launch figure is average, yes, but there is also another whole wave of potential viewers who the producers now need to grab- the ones who might not have seen the launch but still may want to watch BB. It takes a bit of time for people to get talking and some interest to be drummed up!
