Default Such a promising start to a series, but it's easily the worst one now...

Anybody else agree? Last week was probably the worst week in the history of Big Brother in terms of walkers and cancellations etcm couped together with the fact that the newbies have been dire, the original housemates aren't much better either, with us being reduced to watching John James and Josie part 23523627, it's truly an appalling ending for a show that was once loved.

I don't understand either because the beginning was grea,t we had great characters and the evictions haven't been bad. We lost Shabby and Caoimhe (the most entertaining imo) due to them walking which has rly dented the series more than it should have done. There is too much deadwood in Mario, Steve, Dave, Rachel, Andrew, all of which offer nothing to the show at all.

Hell I've even had to criticize my so called 'favourites' (which is strange for people who were around here for BB8 and 9)

The format is dead, the novelty gone, tv has moved on a great deal, BB1 there was no real internet, no real mobile phones.

It should have died after bb8

The first week and the first week only was promising. It was once housemates like Rachael and Govan were being evicted that it hit me that either something was done or we'd be in the situation we are now. I knew we should've saved those for the sake of storylines. And yet no one believed me...and now look where we are. A house full of a large majority of dull, non-entities that do absolutely nothing except make small talk about the most irrelevant things. No storylines, nothing.

John James has carried almost half of this series, and as much as some people may hate him, sorry, but without him there would be practically nothing going on.

As for the production side of things, well, just appauling. Next to no alcohol. Yawn. Such stupid editing during tasks etc - I feel like I'm watching CBBC. Silly gimmicks. Yawn. And then the Tree of Temptation - completely lame. Secret tasks that have no point and are just completely easy, not daring or anything like that. I mean, seriously, dressing up as another housemate for a day? Is that really the best they can come up with? Absolutely laughable.

I'm hoping these new housemates will be good but by the looks of things they won't be. Last night was such a pathetic attempt at a 'twist' anyway.

It's really disappointing because last year proved that Big Brother still had the legs to continue, this year proves why it's ending.

I couldn't agree more. This series is drop DEAD. Like you Billy, I don't have favourites and I still have to criticize mine (the 3 in my sig)

I think it started quite badly: the opening twist was USELESS to the max. It had no energy, it didn't involve the public or anyone for that matter, the opening cast wasn't so good and there were too many changes at the same time.

We obviously had the casual unfair first few evictions, I'm still waiting for the "band" C4 promised us, the housemates just sit here and wait...just wait.
Shabby and Caiomhe were right to leave IMO and now a very few of them have potential. I hope the new housemates will give some energy to it.

I kind of like it. Every series has been different, and you can't please all the people all of the time.

i agree, i was actually watching BB6 and i realised how boring this series is. Remember
makosi to craig during cider gate " i dont wanna hear from team britney here" rofl his face was classic

kemal "at least someone got wet tonight"
the tasks then were so much better as well icant even think of a moment where i thought "im bored" that year,
also makosi's secret tasks were brill

Why the hell would we want BB8 to be the last series?

Thats hardly going out with a bang.

If it had ended after BB9 I would of been sad but at least we could of said it went out with a bang, now were relying on all stars.

Need I remind anyone the biggest argument in BB4 was about a lack of sugar? Or that BB8 caused ratings to dip? Or that BB10's low ratings saw to it BB was axed in the first place?

It has been worse than BB9 and BB8 in my opinion but it is better than BB4 and maybe BB10

Last year was when it really began to decline with crap tasks no twists and No live feed etc

The housemates last year were boring to apart from freddie and bea

So far I think parts of this series have been better than last year though about 5 of the housemates they chose on launch night were pointless

Ife was just Dull Dave was Dull Ben wasn`t that good Steve was Dull and keeva wasn`t that much better

The casting was a major problem this year tbh

We lost Racheal too early Govan I couldn`t stand but he was keeping the entertainment up Shabby should not have walked she was BB this year

John James has actually been the only one since sunshine left thats made this series whether you like him or hate him at times I hate him lol but without him it would have been a 100% borefest

I think channel 4 have played a big part in this series failing because they just didn`t want it to continue and they really don`t want any other channel getting it either

Endemol seem to have given up on it too even though its their show ans it makes them the most money every year in profits

I hope BB has a short rest for a year and comes back on channel 5 late next year or early 2012 with staff and producers etc with a revamped format but keeping the basic rules the same such as public vote and evictions etc

I rate this series better than BB4 and BB10

Agree... surely outside public opinion actually is the thing that matters most, and its been more talked about this last week than the rest of BB11 (in a positive light), even newspapers are picking up extra coverage and giving it good reviews.

I think the majority of people that slate it think it tried to copy the success of earlier series e.g. Fight Night II and the return of the Heaven/Hell divide, and that the arguments were still diffused by BB too early on. I can understand where they're coming from but it still paid off. The only thing that was a major backfire was bringing in Nicole because she did not audition for BB, she was already a HM's girlfriend and she just did not deserve to be there

I think it is an allright series.

bb 4 lyf.

We will ALL be complaining next year when it's not on.

Big Brother should be on EVERY YEAR!! like Davina said.. it's an Institution!!

It should move to channel 5.. or a sky channel.. and maybe.. run.. 8 weeks tops!!!!! with lots of tasks and just start off with 10 housemates on launch night and see how it all pans out!!

It is just amazing to see a nobody/nobodies.. coming together in the house! who we will know will be on a front cover of a bog off magazine when they come out....

For most of the year it is the same old celebrities.. Katie Price.. Z listers.. flogging out magazine etc.. I just do love BB!! I wish people could take it a bit more seriously.. then someone like Freddie from bb10 or Ben/Sunshine bb11.. could make it onto chat shows.. but too many people just dislike BB all together.. then when the housemates come out.. they don't get the same opportunities as Kate Lawler.. Alison Hammond etc.. (if they deserve a chat show/tv presenting deal of course)

I am going to be so upset when BB is not on next year.. I know we all complain that some housemates are bores.. but there is usually at least one.. or a handful that we love.. or like..... and they are the ones that keep me hooked!! I still watch it until the bitter end anyway.. even if sh!t housemates are left.. to give them the benefit of the doubt..

There are so many different people out there who have not even stepped into the BB house.. we may not ever get the gloryfying days of bb5 fight night or that epic series.. or bb6 and bb7 or whatever..<< well could have more of a chance if it is on channel 5 or a bog off channel because they won't give a stuff and give the hms alcohol and sh!t. Anyway Big Brother should live on.. FOREVER!

BB 4 LYF.

Yes, I would rate tis the worst BB,its been ruined by the nomination twists, the daft tree tasks which have been really pathetic. JJames and Josie can switch their microphones off and get a pat on the back really, John James can threaten to leave and say he wants to leave over 10 times but still BB does all it can to please him and keep him in and the save and replace tasks have bben a disaster.
On the plus side and I hoped the last series would have bben more like this all the time, the last week with the Video task has been one of the best moments on any BB but its only one task, overall, the JJames and Josie boring, rediculous saga has ruined this BB and it is easily the worst ever BB now.. It should have ended with a classic series, the producers have reduced it to barely being worth watching except for the diehard BB fans.
That is sad but true. A massive chance missed.

Atleast the editing style, tasks, Tree, 'Save and replace' haven't been done before. BB11's actually made an effort to be different and possibly propel the series in to a different direction for other broadcasters. Perhaps it would have worked better if Ch4 still weren't scared of Ofcom relating to alcohol ammount or heated arguments.

I really don't think it's that bad tbh. I hate how they've changed the editing so we have the taks with music in the background and slow motion (whats the point) but it's the last one so why concentrate on the bad points?

It's much better then bb10, I couldn't watch that one but BB9 was good one of my favourites tbh. It's different, I kind of put BB8-BB11 in their own section as they're just completely different to the other ones it's not as bad as people are making out but I understand why it's the last one. I feel the people are trying hard to make it a good series and going out with a bang much more effort then last year.

Tbh when I think back of BB10 the house, the stories were sooo tacky I thought.
