I'm a big fan of Dave, but even I know he won't win..so why are you getting so worked up?

I think 50% of my problems with him could be solved if he stopped using that false empathetic "preacher" tone to his voice almost every time he speaks.

Cprrect me if I'm wrong, but before those youtube videos ended up bieng posted repeatedly around the forum, noone had too much of a problem with Dave. It's only since that he's become the victim of what can only be described as a hate campaign. There's that one person who has an account solely dedicated to trying to turn him into a hate figure

The problem is that since those videos, people have started using them to form their opinons of him as opposed to his actions in the house. As someone said a couple of days ago, he's really no different to any other preacher, and he's hardly the first person to claim God can heal diseases. The getting drunk on the lord thing is a bit odd I admit, but I dont think its may place to judge people. Live and let live and all that

I think he's been fantastic in the house - funny (but a lot of people dont get his humour), perceptive, clever and friendly. He's been criticised heavily tnoight for being two-faced by being nice to Ben after slagging him off, but most people dont see that there's never been anything malicious behind it, it's come across quite affectionate to me when they reminisce over his apparent lack of team work. He's even said a couple of times that Ben was his best mate in the house, so the whole furor surrounding Dave recently is unjustified in my opinion..

Those videos have been posted from the beginning of the series, and I've personally disliked Dave from very early on in the series, so take that as a correction if you want.

I don't think the furor is unjustified when you look at what other people obsess about in the BB house: keeping crisps to yourself, gossiping. These are not moral issues, but we make them into one. It's actually a lot deeper moral issue given Dave's beliefs, but I don't really like playing Big Moral Brother myself. Despite my problems with Dave, I can admit he's been a great housemate and I'd like him through to the final. That said, I can't stand the man.

I'm not influenced by hate campaigns, he is one of the best HMs this year. He does say what he thinks to people, he also talks about them to others to (but they all do). Above all he is funny.

Not as much as they are right now though, theres several threads cropping up everyday about them. And you may have disliked Dave, but I dont think that was the overwhelming consensus as it seems to be now

This is Big Brother, we judge housemates on what we see of them in the house, we dont go digging around into their life outside the house. Like you, I have no real interest in tirelessly assessing the morality of housemates actions outside of the house, but if we insist on going down that road I dont think it is immoral to claim God heals. And if he wants to get drunk on the lord then so be it, like I said live and let live.

I wasnt particulary saying why do people hate him, more of the question why are a few members getting so worked up, and the countless threads repeating the same thing about on the youtube videos etc, clogging the forum up, he's not going to win, he's not going to get the money that some people think he'd give to his religious group..so I don't see the massive deal and reasons to get so worked up...thats all
