shows like 'Don't Tell The Bride'?
The couples get given 12,000 pounds (no pound symbol, sorry :P) - where does this come from? Sorry, Tom's child benefit thread got me thinking about wasteful spending - I very much doubt this is actually taxpayer's money lmao.

Its just like this hospital nearish me spends millions of pounds on Art, while a few surgeries have been closed down due to lack of funding

its a combination of tax payers money and BBC Worldwide profits (BBC operates commercially in other countries and proceeds from things like DVDS and flogging shows like Strictly Come Dancing around the world). The BBC is meant to get £1.4bn on the TV license alone and the BBC3 budget is only about £80m so its nothing really
