Default What aspects of the USA format would you like BB UK to try?

I've watched many episodes of the UK version and sometimes I wish that they would allow the housemates to discuss nominations. It's like it's a game but no one playing it can openly acknowledge that it's a game. And the actions of the housemates seem to be catering just as much (if not moreso) to the outside world as they are to each other. So I wonder what the show would be like if they adopted certain aspects of the US version. Which aspects would you like to see the UK try? HOH? POV? Housemates vote? Open discussion of nominations? Or no change at all?

Yeah, I was looking at the early vote and noticed that someone wants everything and nothing at the same time? haha. Too bad they don't
allow people to revote.

PoV which BB11 sort of included - better tasks though!

Or maybe have an 'immunity' task before the noms instead?

Anything which gets the HMs competiting, I like when they have more control over their stay in the house rather than just block-voting.

They've tried most of them.

They had an HoH in BB9 but it was pathetic without the nominations aspect of it.
They had open discussions of noms in BB10.
They had a sort of power of Veto in BB11 (but it was more like an immunity challenge from Survivor).

They usually only tried one at a time though. I think you have to combine them all together for it to really work.

I wouldn't mind any of those ideas tried out. Apart from the housemates deciding who is evicted. Because they will end up evicting an entertaining housemate!

In bb6. The housemates also decided who to evict between Vanessa and Makosi. Vanessa got the boot which was the right decision.

But still nowadays.. if the housemates had that power.. we couldn't risk an entertaining one being evicted.

Makosi was lucky not to be evicted. She was calculated, manipulative and there will never be another housemate like her.

This sounds a better idea Jordy!

The housemates have to do a task.. all fight to try and get immunity.

Plus plenty of booze and parties. Simples.

And ALWAYS a vote to Save.

I am sure I have posted these ideas 50 times before.

DESMOND TAKE NOTE.

Please.

I've never watched BB USA but If I had to pick one of those, I think they should try discussing the nominations, It wouldn't have worked in the earlier series when BB was more innocent but the last few years it's been alot of game playing while trying to pretend it's not and tbh I'm sick of the he's fake/she's fake blah blah, just make it an out in the open game ffs and lets see some proper playing!

if any of those ideas were put into place i personally think it would ruin the whole of uk big brother. before if someone won it was because the public liked them and they were a good person if peoples fate were controlled with in the house the final person would end up being a twat. also all it would become would be about alliances and who can be fakest.
also the original concept would be lost, big brother is supposed to control everything giving housemates control would to me be horrible.

Except for the fact that USA BB has been by far more entertaining the past 5 or so years than BBUK has been.

Some years as a twist Hgs were voted back in

BB6 was by public vote but got voted back out the next week

BB3 had a comp the two that did the best fates were left to the house

BB9 HOH couldve worked so much better if HOH nominated one person and the housemates nominated the other one or more. Don't think ours would work if HOH decided who was up.

not so keen on the discussing nominations idea, since it could lead to a lot of stalemates and I prefer Machiavellian housemates.

& it should remain a public vote. Perhaps the HMs vote once.

Why does it have to be a competition? Ofcourse it is but why is it so vital that it's acknowledged? Why can't it just be about seeing normal people interacting with each other, a true reality show. USBB isn't reality tv it's a game show.

i agree with u guys (DJ and Charlie) that it needs to be like a social expirement.

but it also needs to be a gameshow as well too as well a little it can get boring if people are just talking about the same crap
