What you see is what you get with Paddy, he is genuine. Yes, he has some questionable opinions to say the least, but he is real. If Darryn goes I think he will move more to the forefront as Darryn seems to stifle his personality to some extent. I loved him when he lost his rag and threatened to throw Jedward through the screen. Unlike Kerry's totally false rant at them for trashing the bedroom. She kept smirking while she was saying it ffs. The only decent pick Pam made to save was Paddy! I'd love him to at least make the final.

To be fair to Bobby, at least he had the guts to question Paddy and say if you've got something to say against Jedward, just say it and stop mumbling under you're breath. Of course he looked shocked with Paddy's reaction, I don't think any of us would assume someone was going to take an aggressive stance, just because we disagreed with them. It was total over reaction and very revealing about Paddy. The Point is, Bobby pulled him up in the first place, the rest of them wouldn't have the guts to even get that far

I don't know if Paddy's overrated or not but he's definitely more 'real' than any of the other housemates.

Yeah, this is my point too. That seems to be the common excuse for complete arseholes/bad behaviour in BB, "well atleast he's being real". We all feel like being horrible sometimes but most of us can keep it under wraps, that's not being false, it's having some self control.

He said that after Paddy accused him of being a liar because he didn't agree with Paddys opinion, I'd be pretty annoyed as well if someone said that to me.

this being real thing is such BS. And ironic considering that he recently testified in another of his classy court cases that all his machospeak about being some savage merciless fighter was just for the cameras. Maybe he means stuff like such;
He was quoted as having said in the Deadliest Men show: "I'd bite your eyes and bite your lips off and I won't spit them out so you could sew them back on, I'd swallow them to disfigure you." And the word honest is not really appropriate for somebody who seems to exist in a world of dodgy dealings and criminal savage behaviour. But yeah, he's real so all is forgiven. His sexist attitude and homophobic beliefs are real too. Real as Jades alleged racism. All these women drooling over him just backs up my theory that women secretly want a neanderthal. Also confirms what I suggested earlier that viewers decide they like a HM and then adjust their moral compass accordingly. |

If you watch it back you will see Paddy never once called him a liar, and he only sat up the way he did when Bobby mentioned his mumbling. |

He absolutely called him liar! He may not have said those exact words but he said something to the effect of, "You'd see them outside the house? and go for a pint with them?" I believe he was laughing and shaking his head when Bobby said yeah, implying that he was a liar, his whole tone was suggesting that he didn't believe Bobby.

Tbh it's not just the Paddy/Bobby thing for me, it was the fact that he didn't even know Kerry's name. He's just spent two weeks in a house with maximum of nine other people, has had several one to one conversations with Kerry, was one half of the twin task with her and he can't even be bothered to learn her name. Total bloody ignorance

I suppose I have a pre concieved bias towards Paddy because I was married into a family, yes it was like I was married to the family
of Gypsy stock, one of the family was even shot and killed in a Police shoot. I know how close and also nasty some of those families can be and it isn't always pretty, am so glad I am not part of that family anymore. One of the worst mistakes ever marrying into that but it has hopefully improved my perception of people since. But even so, from the little I have gleaned from the highlight eviction shows and the tweets plus posts, I see no reason to change my opinion of Paddy. Plus Zippy, I find your points above quite relevant, it's like we are expected to praise and laud such people, and why should we?
