As the housemates have decided to turn in earlier than usual, we look back on their frightful day. In order to win the shopping task, Big Brother told the housemates that certain ghostly going ons would happen throughout the day and that they must refrain from screaming in order to win a luxury shopping budget this week. However, little did they know that Anton and Jay were controlling who would receive the frights and that the housemates would in fact pass the task if they screamed more than 3 times.



As was to be expected, there was a mixed reaction amongst the housemates to the spooky pranks. Housemates failing to feel the fear were Louise, who didn’t react to blood coming out of the shower or to a demon appearing in the diary room, Harry didn’t squeal when an arm came out of the hatch and when a spider dropped from the ceiling in the hallway. Finally, Faye failed to raise the decibels when a ghost of a little girl appeared in the hallway.



However, scaredy cats Tom and Alex both screamed when a skeleton appeared in the mirror, with Alex also screaming at sight of a dog in a cage with Tashie’s head. Aaron also screamed like a little girl when a dead body in the hallway grabbed his leg, meaning that the housemates incurred 3 screams and have won a luxury shopping budget this week.



Although they will be safe and sound in the knowledge that they will be eating well this week, maybe they should be frightened at the prospect that Anton and Jay may return to the House with a few home truths? Stay tuned tomorrow for the housemates reaction to passing this weeks shopping task and the reveal of Anton and Jay’s fate.

Anton and Jays fate rests on the shopping task? Thats what this is making out to me. I'm so ****ing confused over all of this.

Yeah cos I think Jay and Anton the ones who had to get them to scream 3 or more times, so now that they have they've passed Anton and Jay have managed to save themselves I think

Jay and Anton had to get them to scream OVER 3 times to actually pass

It's very suspect that BB hasn't announced what Jay & Anton's actual task was, either via FB or BBOTS. I'm not sure that there's been some BB conspiracy to keep them both. But i do think they've inked them in to stay now, regardless. I tend to think that whoever was nommed, and in the crypt would come back and avoid eviction, or the whole twist/crypt fake eviction thing would've been pointless.

I think the situation is like this:
Anton and Jay have the chance to change noms. This could be anything, straight up replacement of both, or one of them, it could removal of specific HMs noms to possibly save themselves or get another person up with them.
I think they are being given this as a "reward" because BB wanted to do this 'scary' task this week and didn't want the idiots to mess up another task like they have been all season long. It's kind of hard to make things interesting when people just say screw it and stop the task. Giving the people up for eviction a chance to possibly save themselves in some way helped to make sure the task/event went over well.

I bet BB tells them they can't talk about what they saw while in the room or they go up for eviction next week though.

When JaY and Anton were taken into the diary room to be 'evicted'... BB told them very clearly that ONE of them would still be facing the public eviction on Friday and then went on to say a bit later in the convo, that they had the chance to change nominations.

As for the whole task and the mystery - looks to me that BB didn't have a clear idea - and that they probably had a few 'differing scenarious re the task results as far as Anton & Jay are concerned'.... depnding on how the actual task panned out - and will 'reveal' the nomination part - when they've decided how it should pan out.


As for the DStar newspaper quote below: the words that seem to be throwing some people are highlighted in red below.

They didn't say anything about any of them still being up for eviction.

I think the task was set up with different outcomes depending on who was up for eviction this week myself.
Since it's Jay and Anton a hurried design in the task to help likely keep Jay in at least was brought in,(I'd like to believe it wasn't but suspicions run high).
Such being the reason we the viewers haven't for the first time likely been able to work out what the task really is about anyway.

It's kind of like BB treating it's viewers like mushrooms, keep them in the dark and shovel them with s....

I agree Visage, also actually confusing viewers by not clearly outlining missions/tasks is a bad move indeed.

I think, no matter what the outcome is of this mission/task, that it is the most poorly designed and most ridiculous one I've come across on a BB series if not even 'the' most ridiculous.

If Jay and/or Anton escape being up for eviction this week and it's wednesday now, it will stink massively.

I can only really assume, Jay and Anton got so few votes last week that it is hardly worth opening phone lines for them this week on their own,so they want a harder hitter (like Aaron probably) to be up too/instead hopefully with them or another.

BB after all has the voting figures,they know who gets the vast amount of votes cast and who doesn't. It's very unsavoury.

I've decided overnight that Aaron's feelings for Faye are true so for now I will be supporting him but only until the final of course! Jay seemed really aggressive in last nights show too and there is definitely something not right about this task in my view

I heard that the housmates thought they had to NOT scream more than 3 times when infact the true task was they FAIL if they DON'T scream more than 3 times,example being Faye thought Aaron had failed when he supposedly screamed,but infact he had passed,I know it doesn't make much sense,but that is what I've got from other sources,so not really sure what's going on with this,BB have not made it very clear imo.

Yeah...it's a strange one! assuming the nominations are settled today and not shown till tomorrow it can only be a max of a 24hr vote. Maybe BB is rolling in CASH, so they don't need the extra couple days voting revenue!!
