He's taken it really badly and (IMO) it's because he thinks he's this popular talented guy that everyone loves. So he's confused as to why he's up.

I was half expecting him to ask BB if it was real or just part of a secret task.

I think he's over-compensating to hide his insecurities. If he just wound all the high kicks, splits, flouncey behaviour, etc. back a notch or two he'd probably not be so disliked. As it is, he's coming across really fake, over dramatic, fame hungry, desperate and full of himself and I can't wait for him to be booted out.
