Default Derek Branning single-handedly saving Eastenders
Most of you don't like him but that is pretty much the whole point of his character, but you can't deny that since he has took centre stage over the last 2 weeks the show has become a lot better.

With the help of three other legends Michael, Tyler and Anthony we are finally getting back to the good old days.

Everything you just said is what most people hate about EE at the moment. Repulsive character and Jamie Foreman cannot act, he belongs in panto.

I do think JF can act and has played lots of baddie roles before but he has chosen to play Derek a certain way.

I do like Derek as well as Michael but you seriously need to take back what you said about Tyler & Anthony, they are a pair of nobs who cannot act, especially Tyler.
So glad Shazzas coming back to show all these numpteys in the square who's the real badass chick

It got 8 million + viewers before he was even in it so that makes no sense. Just look at Twitter and you'll see that most people hate him and want him gone. He is an unlikeable horrid vile character.

Please try harder with your desperate attempts to try and make the character seem popular.

I love EE,I dont like the character Derek Branning,but he makes great TV,although my fave character is Max and glad Letitia Dean is coming back ,still loving EE at the moment.

He's too ridiculous, I pretty much laugh whenever he's on screen because his character is badly written and the actor can't act.

It is fantastic.

Reminds me of the 2003-2006 days of Dennis, Jack Dalton, Big Johnny Allen, Phil and Grant and the gangs all at war, with the bosses and the muppets.

I'm sorry but I'd rather watch Derek giving orders, taking over the square, and sh*t going down - than Zainab scream at Masood because he got the wrong brand of Rice or something, or Shirley talking about family or some bollocks like that.

Alot of lads in school have started watching EE now, purely because of Derek because he's a legend.

He must stay. Sack the other actors, get more characters on the show like him and the show will be great once again.
Only thing we're missing aswell is Max, hasn't been on in a while.

Bollocks.

It got 8 Million because it's a part of people's daily lives now and everyone watches it, whether it's crap or not.
It lost for the first time in years at the NTAs, it will probably get beat for the first time in God knows how long at the BSAs this year aswelll - the show has went downhill big time because they focussed far too much on Syed and Chirstian, The Muslim Family and Carol Jackson's life.

People want Derek, they want things like this - so you and your little twitter army of warriors who would rather watch Tamwar play Monopoly better learn to deal with the fact Derek is going to be running things from now on... or until Kirkwood makes a mistake and sacks him.
