Default Have you ever stumbled across an animal and just thought wow

either because you never thought you would see one in the wild or you just didn't know what the **** it was.

3 occasions i can recall.
On holiday in Skye I saw an Otter and a Common Adder, and on the streets of Frigiliana I saw a Preying Mantis.

If by stumble across, you mean saw in The Metro, then this. Even so, it still had the same 'wow' factor about it.

Yep, several times. I once saw a mole poking its head out of its hole, I stumbled across a porcupine in Oz, a group of Kangaroo's that were drinking as the sun was coming up in the outback, and when I was a kid a wild squirrel in the park jumped onto my shoulder and down my arm to collect the nuts in my hand, that was cool.

There was a massive 6ft spitting cobra in our family kitchen. I didn't think so much 'wow' but 'save me jesus'.

I once mistook a grass snake for a stick when I was really young playing outside my Auntie's farm house. I picked it up thinking it was a plain old stick but it wriggled out of my hand and onto my lap and all this, terrified me at first but I think it kind of started my love of snakes. My Dad made sure it wasn't an Adder (the venomous ones) and I held it and stuff, really cool.

Also on holiday in Malta I saw a chameleon climbing onto our balcony, was really gorge.
