Inspired by jords thread, what would your idea of a brilliant task be?
Something physical, artistic,psychological , group task, secret task... would it have consequences for failure, or a timescale?

Thats a great idea vanessa and like you say as its the olympics here this year great to get everyone in the mood

What would you do, get them running, an olympic cheerleading song/dance,timed challenges?....

I like the timed challenges. But they could also do a cheerleading song! Thst sounds great!

Survival task. Make the garden into a desert island and lock them outside, have them make a distress signal and try to attract attention to themselves when plane noise is played into the house. I don't think that's been done before, might be wrong.

Basically I would post a picture of my loyal dog Piddles looking for food and the housemates had to post a picture of some straight away, the first housemate to do so receiving points.

Can imagine how it'd be in actual Big Brother, they could have a picture of a dog on the TV and housemates would frantically run to a hatch or something with some food. Would get so frustrating for them

That sounds great, different types of dogs could have different needs and if they split the housemates into pairs to do it those who looked after their (virtual) pooch best won a prize. Are you listening C5?

I would love to see a burger king/mcdonalds type task. One housemate has the head set on, whilst Big Brother gives orders. One HM needs to cook the burger meat, one needs to place down fries and cook them, two need to make the burgers ordered, one needs to make the drink(s) requested and so on. Each order needs to be completed in a certain time frame set by Big Brother.

That's been done in BB5 and BB10.

My idea is for a shopping task, however the housemates will be unaware that it's a shopping task.
The housemates will wake up one morning and everything inside the house is just how they left it from the night before. However overnight a door has been installed (it was hidden behind something previously, i dunno?) in the garden with a question mark on the front of it. It leading to a secret overnight room with a bed, a basic bathroom, a plasma screen to watch other housemates, A chair and headset to contact 'Big Brother'.
Big Brother doesn't tell the housemates what the door is for and does not let housemates outside into the garden, hoping someone will eventually spot the door. Big Brother then gathers housemates and tells them that one of them has to go through the door in the garden and they have 10 minutes to make a decision.
The chosen housemate will play the part of Big Brother in this task. The chosen housemate's objective is to create a task for the other housemates using past props and items given to him/her on a list, the task must last 4 days and that housemate must stay in room marked question mark for the duration of the housemates task.
That housemate will also get some privileges including being allowed to talk to housemates through the voice of Big Brother (Like Saskia in the bathroom in BB6) and also to talking to individual housemates when and so they choose however only he/she is only allowed to do that a certain amount of times a day. When they are not talking to housemates they are watching housemates on a plasma screen being allowed to switch from room to room and listen to their convos.
What this housemate is also told is that they will be instantly put up for nomination twice, if they survive the first time, they are defiantly up the next week. If the housemates discover the secret behind the door the chosen housemate will automatically be evicted. He/she is not allowed to reveal they are Big Brother. As for the housemates they are left speculating where that housemate has gone.

The housemates can pass and win a luxury food budget if they
A) They pass the task set by the chosen housemate
B) They discover the secret behind the door

The chosen housemate risks being evicted immediately and being put up on the chopping block twice.

Don't drop the ball task.

They have to keep chucking a ball around for 24hours and not drop it. Obviously they will switch when some sleep and some don't. They are allowed 3 drops. (Would work best earlier in the series with more HM's in)

It is a great idea but for a 24 hr task might get a bit boring from a viewers perspective?....

Yeah, only thing is could imagine it be one of those tasks the HM's pack in quite quickly unless they were really up for it. Seems they don't do tasks where you need much of an attention span anymore.
