Higher :'(

Even though I practically begged my teacher to let me sit foundation she was all like 'we've taught you the techniques for higher'

urgh so annoying, she looks like a fuglier kate middleton if that's possible.

I'll post something decent when I'm not so sleepy.

I dont know if they have past exam papers online but heres the irish ones.
www.examinations.ie, Just click into the material Archive and do out the questions.
http://www.skoool.ie/ Heres a site that shows how to maths.
Just keep doing questions, its the only thing that works with maths.

Lucky you! if you sit foundation you have to answer 70% of the paper correctly to attain a passmark, at higher it is 40%...... Bet you love her now lol.
And my advice is to concentrate more on the calculator paper.....The questions are usually worth more.
working out tax on goods and the growth of companies type questions...

I promised to give a decent reply and now I've awoken from those morning blues, here goes:

If you're worried about memorising formulas, there's no need. If this hasn't already been explained to you, the formulae is on the first page of the GCSE paper, so all you need to do is understand what to substitute.

Here's a GCSE higher tier mock exam (non-calculator): http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/schools/g...kh1_nocalc.pdf

Here's another GCSE higher tier mock exam (calculator):

http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/schools/g...ockh2_calc.pdf

Some algebra, particularly simultaneous equations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-HcCU0P7A4

Some volume:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPyNj...feature=relmfu

In fact, just go through all of this at your own pace: http://www.youtube.com/user/HEGARTYMATHS

Should be well worth it, though. It's much easier at the higher tier to get marks than it is at foundation level, really, so if you're already in higher it's good you're staying there. Just revise as much as you can and it'll all be over in a week or two.

We have some silly Math's site set up, each person has their own accounts etc - apparently people who use it get better marks.

I hate it. But meh.

I got a C first time round and retook it and got an A back in November, and what helped me to get that grade was a CD school gave us called MathsWatch, it's absolutely amazing You can order it from here http://www.mathswatch.co.uk/#/how-to-order/4538566761 it's really cheap.

Other than that just do lots of past papers, that helps a lot too.
