Diana was murdered/died. Do you remember where you were when you heard about? I was only like 7 and remember hearing it on the radio at my dads.

I remember my grandmother being in tears for about 3 days over this...I still to this day find that odd as she didnt know her personally. I couldnt get that upset over someone dying who I just saw on tv occasionally.

yep, my son was born in July 97, so he was only weeks old and I was at home with him, he was asleep and I was ironing when it came on the news. Was pretty shocked.

I remember hearing about it online, I was in a yahoo chat room, and not knowing why everyone was making a big deal about it or why anyone cared. I'd never even heard of her before. I still don't know why people made such a big deal out of it, the same way i don't know why people made such a big deal out of Anna Nicole Smith dying.


As far as the conspiracy theories, just ridiculous. Just as stupid as the moon landing hoax and 9/11 conspiracy stuff.

I was 18 and I was at home, I remember my mom being more upset about Dodi .........I think she had a thing for him

I can remember it clearly.. I'd been out at a club, came home ****faced, made myself a coleslaw and beans (?) sandwich, got into bed and they were reporting that Dodi was dead but a witness had seen Diana walking away from the accident.

My mum woke me up the next morning to tell me Diana was dead and I assured her it was only Dodi.. she said "you'd better put the telly on, she's definitely dead"

I'll never understand why I felt like I did.. I was genuinely shocked and saddened. I could still cry at the thought of her two boys walking behind her coffin like that
