I've picked cure for cancer because I've had to suffer the heartache of seeing a relative slowly die from it and the after effects of it has changed my family, it hasn't been the same since.

I know theres no way for me to prove it and you will likely not believe me but it is my genuine feeling. I believe in living a healthy life in attempt to avoid it, but a cure no.

The biggest threat the world is facing is over population and cancer is slowing that down. its death in one way or another i dont see the difference.

I agree, overpopulation itself wont destroy the planet, but over-consumption will; humans find it tremendously difficult to go back in lifestyle and growing population is pretty much certain to cause over-consumption. Highly unlikely people will just lower what they consume.
