Default Internet usage limit

Does anyone have an internet usage limit?

I have always had unlimited internet usage, but I'm moving house this Saturday and because I'm going to be outwith the isp network area they can only give me internet with a usage limit (40gb) so I will have to use that until I find a provider with unlimited internet in my area, which is more difficult than I thought....anyway I have no idea how long 40gb will last since it's something I have never had to bother about.

I'm really not looking forward to having this tbh, and weirdly it's working out more expensive than my unlimted one but I have to have some kind of internet access for work stuff.

Using mobiles, 1gig is around 70-80 hours, so you should be fine for browsing. Not sure how your downloads would work with with limits and stuff, as everything is unlimited these days.

I'm not bothered if I can't stay on websites and stuff a lot while I have it, I just need to be able to do at least some work stuff and check emails etc.

Not sure how much that would use

I normally download and upload 100's of gb of stuff every few days for work too but I suppose I wont bother doing any of that until I get my net sorted.

You could download Google Bitmeter to check your usage, Josy.

40GB is actually quite a lot. Some mobiles actually have a data usage function on them, which will monitor and warn you when you are near your limit. There might also be something like this you could download from your app store to give you peace of mind.

Yeah after reading a few posts on here and online I think the 40gb will actually be fine since it's only for a little while, it's not mobile broadband though it's through an isp.
