It doesn't necessarily have to include sex... perhaps you're just hiring yourself out to be a date and you're being paid for it... or maybe you're being paid to keep someone company - could you go through with it? Could you do a business transaction over something that's usually associated with emotions?

Well, my friend got with a rent boy last night which is what sparked this thread; and I was reading a topic on another forum about open relationships which sparked the other one! Sadly nobody is propositioning me about anything!

Difficult one for me cuz I worked in a strip club and saw some lovely girls fall into this line of work. It sounds appealing but ultimately its an extremely unethical way to make a living. It take a very cold hearted or desperate individual to do this for any length of time.

You have to remember that if you want the money then you have to do what this person wants you to do and frankly if I was doing the paying I'd be requesting all kinds of nastiness.

Aha. I had no idea minimum wage for under 21s was so bad. Surely they should just be nice and pay you more.

To answer the question seriously I'm with Claudia. I honestly couldn't do it for any amount of money. I count on my self respect far more than my wallet. And I generally don't have a lavish lifestyle anyway. If I can afford food and my Netflix and one or two books a week I'm literally delighted with life.
