It does take a while Caitlin, especially when they had such a long life..

It gets better though. You'll still miss him. It will just hurt a wee bit less each day.

been okay for ages but just got really upset tonight... just want a cuddle from him

aww I had to have my dog Curly put down a week ago, had him 12 years, longer then I even know Gav. It's heart breaking

Thoughts are with you Ninastar. Literally nothing worse than losing a dog/cat imo. I get more upset when pets pass away than people as weird as that may sound.

I still miss my two dogs every day even with the ones I have now, your sadness is totally understandable. Stay strong! x

Aw....I miss my cat that we lost last year still. My little boy still thinks she's coming back and told me when she does we can give the two we have now back to "that lady".

aww My son was 8 when our other dog Sophie died, a few weeks after she died we decided to get a puppy to keep Curly company (he wasn't impressed at all lol) Luke cried in the car the whole way to where we were picking her up
