I'm getting on a bit, and my memory is not what it used to be!...So I wonder if anyone could help me out here...I was just thinking that I couldn't remember any "Nice and Genuine" young Iris girls having been in the big brother house?....I remember That Orlaith woman BB6...That Noirin Lass BB10...Then there was that Caoimhe girl BB11....Oh yes there was Hazel BB14 wasn't there...and now we have Ashleigh!!
.....Surely there has been some good, honest and genuinely nice young ladies from Ireland on the show!!....but i'm damned if I can think of any?????..

....Any suggestions? ...

Im not sure I like your thread Lex. Are you saying that all the irish girls on the house weren't nice and genuine. I, as an Irish person take offence to this. Why didn't you single out Scottish or Welsh or British women? Plus some of the women were from the republic and some from northern Ireland which are two different countries even though they are on the same island. Most if the irish contestants were good housemates and they were pretty also. Anna, Hazel, Norin and Keeva were genuine. I don't like Ashleigh she is probably the only one that I changed my opinion of.

...Oh Niamh...nothing could be further from the truth...and if only you could know just what a crush I had on my darling Maureen O'Sullivan all through my youth! [my wife pretended to be jealous...but she fancied Richard Widmark anyway. lol]...I have also spent a few holidays in the god's garden that is Galway...[We've had a fantastic friendship... that is more like family...with the Burke family near Clifden since Gerry and I became great friends in the 1950's]

Hi Rion...Why should you take offence at me not liking the ladies that I mentioned?...unless, like Niamh, you misunderstood the question? [probably my fault. lol]...the girls that sprung to mind when I made the thread...Orlaith , Hazel, Caoimhe, Noirin, and Ashleigh are genuinely in my opinion , awful specimens of as I described 'Nice Genuine young ladies'! ...I never said, or meant that they weren't gorgeous to look at! [Hazel is a real contender to be the best ever on BB, in that department!]...Also , I purposely did not say that they weren't good house mates either...i've derived a lot of entertainment from their shenanigans. lol...but the point [that I thought was pretty obvious...but obviously not. lol] was that the forum Angel 'Ashleigh' , whom I see as a devious , manipulative and generally 'not nice person', was just the latest in a long line of such characters on big brother!...And in fact, off the top of my head...I couldn't name an Irish female contestant that wasn't of that same ilk. [however, one or two posters have reminded me about Anna from way back in BB1 wasn't a villain!..A bit vague in the memory..but I can't remember any bad feelings about her character anyway...and i'm sure that there must have been others, but I still can't remember them?]
....Also, there have been absolute rafts of villainous female contestants from all of the countries that you mentioned , and more...Remember Makosi lol...but the thread premise was pretty much centred around Ashleigh's being 'a villainous pretty young lady from Ireland' not being exactly original!!
