If I were you I'd just stop trying to make excuses for why she is out. The simple reason is, she had the 4th biggest fanbase out of all the contestants, hence why she finished 4th (which is pretty good).

Ella and Cher wasn't exactly what I would call pretty white girls.

And besides on the show (which is what I'm on about here not after the show) Cher struggled to get votes, and Ella was derailed probably even worse than Lauren on the song choices.
