I think it's good that the lowest two amounts went to the eventual Top 2. James never needed the money, and I like he wasn't greedy because he didn't need it.

Imagine how much money they'd save if they gave that sort of amount to everyone. Very good value there.

If I look back, I think James is the cheapest contestant ever on CBB. Cheggers got around 30k in Jan and I thought that was painfully low. But James and Austin has broken the record I think.

The American's high pay is understandable considering they have to get visas and move to a different country/clear schedules for the length of the series because they don't know how long they're gonna be in there. Austin, even tho he's on the USA side, lives in Huddersfield. The UK housemates don't need as much I don't think as they can go back to anything they want to after leaving. (Unless they're major celebs like Pricey for example - she deserved high pay because she's such a big name who brought in nearly 4 million viewers on entering).
