Gillian McKeith is to reportedly join the Celebrity Big Brother 2016 house this week.


The health guru is set to become a special guest as part of the new shopping task which kicks off later today (Tuesday).

A report claims that Gillian - who has the nick name 'Dr Poo' after rising to fame on Channel 4’s You Are What You Eat - will be putting the celebs through a "nightmare detox".

Sugar, alcohol and cigarettes will be banned and Gillian will analyse just how healthy the housemates are.

A source claimed: “The show will end up being nicknamed Celebrity Bog Brother. Gillian is going to cause havoc in there with her rule book."

"Expect tears, tantrums and walkouts," they told the Daily Star newspaper today. “It is bound to tip some housemates over the edge.”

According to the tabloid, show bosses had wanted Gillian to take part in the show itself but she turned them down before agreeing to enter as part of a task.

It's not clear how long Gillian will be staying however most shopping tasks last the two days before the results are revealed.

Earlier in the week, Stephanie Davis' boyfriend Sam Reece confirmed he would NOT be joining Celebrity Big Brother after rumours he was set to be the mystery new houseguest.

Celebrity Big Brother 2016 airs tonight on Channel 5 from 9PM with the latest house highlights plus the fifth eviction of the series which sees SIX up for the axe.

After a week of immunity challenges, Christopher Maloney, Danniella Westbrook, Jeremy McConnell, John Partridge, Scotty T and Tiffany Pollard are up for the public vote and the one with the fewest votes will go this evening.
