They'll probably have a mid-week and end it a day earlier on the Thursday if that turns out to be the case, but I doubt it'll be like what I've said above.

Maybe a 25th-27th May Launch and it ends on the week beginning 1st August.

I don't see why she needs a stand-in tbh. It's only just a few hours on a Friday night, once a week, for like 2 months. Plus she doesn't present BOTS anymore, so she's free the other 6 nights a week.

To be honest I'd rather they began early (by which I mean late-ish May) with Rylan hosting the first few weeks of a longer series than risk running into the Olympics/have to shorten it because of the Olympics

I think they should just launch it on Wednesday 1st June and make the series 65 days long and end it on Thursday 4th August, the day before the opening ceremony.
That way it's not too early for Emma as opposed to a May launch as her baby would've been due three weeks prior and it doesn't face the Olympics, so clashing isn't a problem (plus 65 days isn't that short. I mean do we really want a longer BB given how it's been the past two years) |

Given the amount of money they seem to be willing to pump into this series, plus the talk of a revamp from people like Ben Frow, yes, I would want a longer BB

Let's face it, I think the CBB series that just ended proved that those "supposed" changes for 2016 aren't going to happen for BB17. It'll just be a re-hash of the last two years because it's gotten to the point where the producers just won't learn anymore.

Also it's not really any shorter than the average 10 weeks/60-something days we've had in every other C5 series.

The only time we'll ever get a series longer than 10 weeks on C5 is if it averages 2.0m or above and it'll be extended due to ratings success like CBB13 was.
Either that or they cancel summer CBB and make BB thirteen weeks again, like how it was supposed to be originally |

Again, if you're judging the quality of a series based solely on the amount of production meddling - especially nowadays - then I think you're setting the bar far too high for yourself

Does it really matter? They seem to be taking CBB (their most successful show) down the same route as the Civilian BB with all the production flaws. I know I'm being cynical here, but they've tampered with the format so much in BB15/16 to point where I haven't much hope for future series. I'd love if I was wrong and they do turn it around and actually learn from the mistakes they've been making continuously since 2014 but we'll see.

I think it is reasonable to get annoyed when a HM (Megan) was evicted when they shouldn't even have been up.
