I'm more inclined to believe they just don't search HMs' old tweets, but the conspiracy theorist in me thinks they either:

- Are aware of them and throw them into the house hoping the forums uncover it and there's some controversy when it makes the news
- Aren't aware of them in the hope that something like this will crop up anyway

Well as far as I'm concerned, being found to have plastered hate speech over your social media should be enough to stop you becoming a housemate in the first place so likewise, it should be enough to get you turfed out if it comes out afterwards.
