Just got to the Michael blindside in One World. How fitting that girls vs. guys alliances was being discussed in the BBUS sections earlier.

Anyway, this girls alliance has a LOT of potential. I love almost everyone in this cast in general. Troyzan & almost all the girls have been great. Jay has been pretty good too. I couldn't stand Tarzan at first but he's gotten kinda funny to laugh at as well...

This is like polar opposite to South Pacific, where I actually have a lot of people I support on this season and no one I find too boring or unlikable.

Thankfully some of the annoying people (Matt/Colton/Nina/kinda Monica) have all gone early.

Well, Troyzan has inevitably gone. It was a decent exit episode too considering he had no shot of staying and it still managed to be entertaining.

Still plenty of people to root for though. This is definitely the best female alliance since Dani's BB13 group. Chelsea & Alicia The rest are good too, Kim is the only one that's just kinda alright if not boring.

Pretty good season so far as well, the only thing hurting it is that it's been super predictable lately and I feel like it will continue to be. Is Kim really gonna just dominate through this entire game? (rhetorical question... no one answer that )

I've actually been enjoying this season but the boot order is not going well. Rudy's exit was sad (I find him pretty hilarious and endearing...idk if this is controversial or not), Rob C's was disappointing but Hatch's is a step too far and to save ****ing Colby are you serious?!

The whole Sue debacle was pretty awkward, as was her screaming at Jeff :/ I'm not sure what I think really? I laughed when it happened, then felt bad when I saw her reaction, then thought she was perhaps taking it a bit too seriously, then felt bad for her again? idk, pretty uncomfortable all around and it's sad her and Rich's Survivor experience ended this way

First season in a while that I've kinda binge watched within a couple days. Not as much that it was a good season as it was me having some more time the last few days. Still a decent season though but definitely gets a little underwhelming entertainment-wise and very predictable game-wise after the half way point.

Tyson - he's so cheesy that I started to not dislike him as much towards the end of both his seasons but... AGAIN?

omg I actually blindsided myself this entire season, I had assumed Rob won based on stuff I already knew so when Jeff revealed the last vote I was like '...err what, eh ' that was so weird lmao, biggest shock of all the seasons I've seen. But now with my stupid Wiki reading (that I really should know better than to do) I've gone and spoilt a season I didn't realise he was in! So I'm pissed

Anyway, to sum up the last few episodes:

Rupert getting trashed at the reward Shii-Ann winning immunity against all the odds and then dragging them all at tribal what hypocrites Alicia and Jenna were tho, moaning at her for celebrating her victory yet there they were saying 'don't worry Rupert you've got this she's gonna fall'

What is a Jenna btw I still don't remember who this irrelevant woman is, and she was a dumbass voting Rupert out tbh

The final tribal was as bitter as I expected but I strangely enjoyed it! I see why people don't like this season and it was certainly miserable but for the most part I thought it was okay, it only really got awful in the last few episodes. The biggest issue for me is that the people I liked the most left early (Richard, Rob C, Rudy, Jerri) and it didn't really recover

Also a few random things: this is by far my favourite remix of the theme, especially the strings in the middle and I do wish they'd do the big elaborate entrances with Jeff carrying the urn again, one of the best parts of the early seasons <3

So I'm gonna start on S9 tonight, I'm not sure if or when I'm gonna end up stalling again when I go back to uni but we'll see how it goes

Anyway I kinda knew what seasons were liked and which weren't of the first eight so am wondering which ones to look out for and which ones to dread between now and HvV (which I'm very much longing to see)? Anyone fancy ranking them for me?

I think it's actually somewhat in line with what a lot of people here think as well but I could be wrong.

10 isn't amazing but it has a lot of uniqueness that makes it appealing on a first watch. 12 is gr8, 13 is awful and 14 isn't that good either. 15-17 are all gr8, 19 is ****e bc of editing, and 20 is gr8.

The standouts between 12-20 for me [Haven't seen the ones before are];
20 [Heroes v Villans], 16 [Micronesia], 15 [China], 17 [Gabon] and 19 [Samoa] is very marmite but I enjoyed it.
12 [Panama] is a good season also.

14 [Fiji] is one of the worst seasons I've ever seen, It's not just a boring season, most of the cast are also dis likeable [but aren't even compelling and dis likeable]

18 [Tocanitis] is another season I found to be boring and very predictable.

Probably my worst 5 seasons of survivor are; 14, 18, 22, 24, 30

Finished Blood vs. Water. I do love the blood vs. water theme because it makes things more personal and there's so much more potential for people switching over at the merge & power shifts later on, etc. However, SJDS was the better season.

Overall, this was another very average Survivor season. Idk if I'm just starting to get bored of Survivor or if I saved some of the more boring/bland/uneventful ones for last. It might just be that Redemption Island hurts this show so much and most of the seasons I've recently watched include Redemption. I can't believe they brought it back again.

Also, Tyson's kinda not as bad as I originally thought.. He still has some of that awkward douchiness to him but it's kinda amusing at times and I also liked how he played the game this time around. (even though I was rooting against him towards the end of the season; that's more to do with almost all of the people I liked being left at the end)

Kaoh Rong <3 I rewatched a few episodes and it holds up well, especially when compared to the current season

It's probably my fave post-HVV season along with SJDS & Cagayan
