Oh she's improved over the years sure. I've never watched Law and Order but I saw her in something else and she was quite good.
But in Doctor who she was ATROCIOUS. she literally couldn't utter a single word without making the audience cringe. Poor David Tennant. |

Can't remember the actress name, but Sally Sparrow from blink deserve an honourable mention.
The assistant who never was, but then that position was filled by Freema as Matha No mention of Clara (Jenna- Louise Coleman) Jenna seemed quite good in Victoria

Martha was a good companion but wasn't the best by far! I much preferred her when she popped up in Torchwood. Companions are usually really hit and miss. I think Amy had such potential but they ruined her by making her The Doctor's mother in law or whatever the pointless River storyline was. (I do adore River though.)
Clara is one of my favourites, post-series 7 that is. The impossible girl stuff wasn't great, but she came into her own in Series 8/9 and was bloody fantastic. I think she carried the series.

I agree that Martha was better in Torchwood. I just found the "head over heels for the Doctor" storyline hard to believe and extremely contrived. It made the third season look like a bad hangover...

I don't know what to feel about Chibnall. Some of his Torchwood episodes were alright, but his Doctor Who credits just happen to be the worst episodes of each season.

Can I get a witness?

Bless him but I do agree this is the best time for him to leave

It's sad because I've adored him in his other works, such as Torchwood, but I just couldn't warm to him as The Doctor (I blame the writing more than anything, though).

Not really that surprising, I'd expect Chris Chibnall to want to start fresh (so that makes introducing a new companion now a bit pointless, but oh well)
Personally, I think the replacement should be someone who already has the initials DW Spoiler: |
