why do they allow volkswagon and many more massive car makers and corporate giants to break their emissions for over 20 million cars? Why arent people going to prison? Why do so few corporate crooks go to prison ? how many went to jail after the whole horse burger / bute burger scandal hit almost every supermarket? why are politicians being more lenient when these corporate crooks are doing infinitely more harm to the environment and public at large than 1000 average crooks
why do politicians across the UK and the world allow and encourage out of town retail parks with low rents and free car parking, no train routes , barely any bus routes...thus forcing customers back into their cars and polluting the planet politicians are full of bull, say one thing do another. I doubt they give a damn about the ozone layer judging by these actions, but of course they must appear to care, especially near election time Last edited by the truth; 18-01-2017 at 12:35 PM. |

We were the dirty old man of Europe... I guess soon we'll just be the dirty old man and any European protections regarding air quality will no longer apply...Not that we adhered to them anyway because we are little Britain and we do wot we want!

How did we ever live before the European Union? It's a mystery.

To be fair though, it is a straight up fact that our coastlines / beaches were absolutely repulsive before some of the mandatory EU stuff came in. The water quality was absolutely ****ing shameful, and we tried to dodge all of the EU regulations on it for as long as possible. It's only since the late 90's that we've really sorted it out and we now have some really awesome beaches with cleaner water than there's been for something like 150+ years.
Of course there's no reason to assume that any of this would be REVERSED now that all of the regulations and sewage processing tech is already in place... but you can pretty much guarantee that our beaches wouldn't be as clean as they are today if we had never been under EU regulations. It cost a lot of money to get the water clean. I don't think they'd have bothered ![]() |
