I'm guessing that was what the importance was of the Tina/Sylvie/Shirley scenes (Tina getting excited about a photoshoot seems awfully to irrelevant for it not to be involved somehow, but then again, the bins)

They missed an opportunity for Kim's driving to be relevant to a dramatic story.

They could've had him having a heart attack and then the crash caused by him simultaneously trying to avoid her speeding around a corner.
