I don't gamble, apart from an odd lotto ticket.
You never see a poor bookmaker. |

I turned £200 into 500 then that into 900 on gambling but a streak of losses brought me to 600 so is that bad? Technically I lost 300 but made 400 so I don't see that as a bad thing?

these machines are the crack cocain of the bookies - so addictive - stay well away is my advice. better odds is to read some poetry - it will depress you much less then losing your last tenner. ![]() |

I see this all of the time at work. People coming in on payday and leaving practically in tears as they've spent their wages in a matter of minutes.

That's not so much a problem. It's when your wages are going into that machine rather than a spare tenner from your pocket.

I don't gamble, I've never gambled and I've never felt like I've needed to gamble.

There's only one sensible way to play the machines in my opinion. Two hands of blackjack, all in, then STOP. If you win both, you quadruple your money. If you lose, you walk out. Original stake as much as you're willing to lose.
So if you have a spare £5, you might walk out with 0 or a cheeky £20. If you are feeling a bit flush and want to risk £50, you leave with 0 or a nice £200. £50 is the most you can risk this way as your second hand is then a £100 stake which is max stake. |

I always love the people who come running up to the counter "I won that game then! The machine took £80 from me!" Course it did mate.

That's a (fairly well known already) house tip btw; classic blackjack has the lowest profit margin (therefore, best chance of actually winning) of ANY machines game, full stop. Big players will try to chat your ear off about their roulette patterns / systems but they are lying to themselves. Single hand of blackjack, 99.5% win margin.
On the same note, your best bet in roulette is simple 1/1 bets. Red or black, even or odd. All those chips you see people with scattered around the screen? It's BS. You have better odds betting on black twice in a row. But again, Lower chance than blackjack. Blackjack. Last edited by user104658; 27-02-2017 at 12:20 PM. |

Blackjack's literally the only thing I ever play. On demo that is, I never gamble.
The slots and stuff bore me. I find stuff like that tedious. |

![]() One guy was outraged he'd lost £80 on a high-lower bonus card he swore he'd won. The machine had robbed him. Then proceeded to stick another 20 in that same machine that'd "robbed" him. ![]() |
