The edit was screaming Debbie was going, but I still don't particularly like Sarah and the rather disfunctional group she's allied with. And this 'attention to detail' stuff, I think she was just lucky she got close enough to see the advantage. Though I was hoping Michaela was about to miss it, because that was in itself funny. Sarah must have a very short memory as well, saying an extra vote has never been used correctly, it was at the previous tribal.

Well the vote was 7-4-1-1 so it wasn't necessary. It was actually a complete waste when you think about what could have happened if Debbie used it this week.

Sierra is a bit smug & definitely shows entitlement in most confessionals though. Also her talks on the beach kinda fit that as well. It's basically all "this is what we're doing" and "I don't like these people so bye" while laying back on a hammock or something.

And with Brad I think it was more so earlier on and just that he feels like everyone should automatically join his group. They act like others should play their game because they are/were the leaders of a majority alliance. I do think he was more reasonable when talking to Debbie about the next target last episode though.

In all honesty, (unless I'm forgetting something that annoyed me about him) Brad hasn't been that bad recently because his edit has been more sympathetic and humbled for whatever reason (maybe the wrath of Debbie) and Sierra has only just gotten really bad. It's just very hard to find reasons to like them though throughout this season.

The thing is I thought this too but every time the edit pushes strongly in one direction the opposite seems to happen... so this time I kept thinking "nah I feel like Debbie actually stays"... I think the over confidence from Debbie should've made me realize it would actually happen though. Also in hindsight, I should've realized Sarah/Zeke would be voting together and Zeke didn't seem too pro-Debbie but then again, a lot of times these edits don't make too much sense.

Yeah, i think they must have been told that the viewers were getting a bit fed-up with the blatant in-episode spoilers so i think they try to throw you the odd curve-ball in there to try and make you think they're not being so blatant but 99% of the time your initial suspicions end up being spot-on!

I still can't stop myself watching every episode of every new Season though!

So now that we only have four episodes left, what are our thoughts on this season so far? I think it's..... solidly okay. I don't think it's great (even good might be a bit of a stretch), but it's definitely watchable. The production values are similar to Cambodia and MvGX which is definitely annoying, but the editing is muuuuch better so it's making the whole thing bearable. Alliances are still appearing out of thin air and it's annoying (like, the show never did anything to explain Andrea and Cirie apparently being super close, and Brad and Sierra went from having like one or two scenes together pre-merge to suddenly being a two-headed tyrannical dragon ruling this game with an iron fist), but the edit is actually focusing on characterization as opposed to focusing solely on gameplay, strategy, and BIG MOVEZ!!! And just about everyone's had their moments to shine, which is nice. Troyzan's really the only one who it feels like he's pretty much been written off the show. Even Andrea and Aubry have had some moments in spite of their abysmal edits.

I've surprisingly really enjoyed this season, I'm not massive on returner seasons, but this has been a good season with lots of good moments.

If it continues in the same vein as it has up to now (i.e. it doesn't just turn into Cambodia for the final few weeks), then I'd probably put it as a top 15 season

I've seen people calling it better than HvV, which I'm... not exactly sure about, but I'm glad I went into it with low expectations, because - aside from the similarities in production values that you pointed out - it's been fairly enjoyable and I can't knock a season which has a pre-merge dominated by Sandra and a Cirie-centric post-merge

I think it's pretty good! It's benefitted massively from the right people going home early (except Sandra obviously and I like Tony but in the context of this season he would've been an airtime hog if he got any further).

Mhmm, I think the boot order definitely helped. Ciera being a complete afterthought, JT continuing to discredit himself as a legitimate player, Caleb and Malcolm and Ozzy all getting ousted early and/or being underedited, actually getting six episodes of Sandra (and even more if she wasn't swap****ed)

It's definitely been above my expectations, as I was kinda expecting to be disapointed aha, but it really has been good. Even if the ending does end up being bad/the next few episodes, I can still say I thrououghly enjoyed 2/3 of the season meaning it will not be in my bottom third of survivor meaning its been a great season for me.

I'm also glad Aubry has had a smaller edit this season, as I really enjoyed her in her original season but still found her a little bit too overbearing/exposed, wherea shes been kinda UTR with some really nice/interesting moments [I was most worried about her being overbearing this season, but I still like her]
