Yeah, from what I can gather on twitter Ari extending and security stopped a lot of carnage. It sounds terrible to say but I think this could have been much worse than it already is.

This is completely awful, I've been watching the news, twitter and this thread since it began and I've struggled to put words together. I knew two people there, and they're both safe, but that's not really the point. The point it, they may not have been because there was a **** who watched a d.i.y video. I'm completely distraught, it doesn't make sense.

Also, Amy Jade, you are quite right. anybody using this as an opportunity to further their political values are completely tasteless, and they need to deeply evaluate their priorities - even May and Corbyn has collectively decided not to campaign whilst this is ongoing.

apparently it was a suicide bomber, what good would checking bags do in that instance? you can't secure every public entrance/foyer, it's impossible.
